The follow up to MUSHA improves the difficulty but is a huge step down in almost every other aspect. Pacing comes to a crawl with forced story sections and the soundtrack despite using CD audio is rather lackluster compared to its predecessor which was a powerful showcase of the Genesis hardware under the right hands. It does make some cool use of the Sega CD sprite scaling capabilities but otherwise you're better off playing MUSHA over this.

The holy grail of most Genesis owners. MUSHA is a fast paced shmup albeit on the easier side(1CC'd it my second try) but makes up for it in incredible presentation and a roaring speed metal soundtrack. After finding out Raizing was formed from ex-Compile devs I started to notice some of their DNA in this game mostly with the little guys who float around you that you can change various formations with.

I expected a drop in quality after Acclaim got the rights but holy shit did I not expect it to fall off this hard.

Near flawless port of the arcade game. Saturn version actually has an edge over the PS1 port due to the AI not being broken so you won't be dealing with them immediately tackling you down the second a game starts.

Kinda funny a Japanese dev team made a better euroshmup than all of Europe.

I've played hundreds of horror games but nothing has been more terrifying as losing sight of three armed suspects fleeing the scene and suddenly there are multiple doors down below open.

One of the coolest pinball games ever. Ball physics are surprisingly fantastic for a game made in 91 and the overall aesthetic oozes atmosphere. As someone who does play real pinball all the time it gets over the hurdle of "Why would I play this over an actual table" by taking full advantage of the video game medium by giving you enemies on screen and bosses to destroy. Good luck getting to that final boss though cause you're gonna be playing for close to six hours straight to hit that score requirement.

RoTT is an often overlooked shooter that's absolutely worth playing and this new port makes it more accessible than ever. Yes it has some rough spots but it's brimming with personality. The whole game consists of ex-id employees making the most unhinged shooter they could think of doing the craziest map designs they weren't allowed to during their time working on Wolf 3D and Doom. Yeah some maps are kind of a slog but gosh dang do I admire their approach of just doing whatever the hell they thought would be fun without any consideration to the player.

Kinda cool id made a game based off me but I gotta deduct half a point for not giving me any royalties.

Killer 7 answers the question of "What if there's world peace" and it turns out it kinda fucking sucks.

This is a terrible game but a fun one to experience. It both serves as an amazing time capsule during that period right after 9/11 where every American wanted the middle east nuked without remorse and the casual racism of that time. The second mission has you fighting terrorists in an "urban" neighborhood where every bad guy is a shirtless African American spotting a huge afro wearing a gold medallion while generic hip hop music plays in the background.

Phenomenal simulator of trying to walk outside in Bremerton Washington.

Very fun fast paced arcade game where you gotta capture all the animals before time runs out. The sound design is amazing every action has this big chunky sound to it even running around is super satisfying as a result.
