playing the 3d version of this game has recemented it's spot as not only one of my favorite zelda games of all time, but now my favorite. this game exudes so much personality and world building that isn't seen in as much capacity in any of the other ones.

This review contains spoilers

this game had its ups and downs for sure. the performance issues and the constant crashes sometimes made me wanna stop playing, but the story and combat when the game WAS working kept me going. if you're a star wars fan, you need to play this game asap
the story is definitely this game's major draw for me. i think it was so well handled. at first i was iffy on the ending but now that im thinking about it, makes sense.
SPOILERS FROM HERE ON OUT
I'm going to be honest. I didn't play much of the first game. I finished the first visit to the first planet and stopped because I was playing the PS4 version and respawning took simply too long for a game that's about trial and error.
That being said, not having played the first game, that honed in on the catchup the game did. I felt like I knew exactly what happened because of how well the game made sure that for new and old players, the story of fallen order was reiterated.
Now moving on to this game's story. There's so many themes that go even past just the usual jedi stuff, but what really drew me in WAS the usual jedi stuff. It was explored in such a way I had never seen before, with Cal having difficulty with the negative emotions that usually lead to the dark side. However, he was able to control it somewhat, and kept the emotions at bay when it was important, with the help of his loved ones... loved one. Lol.
The brotherhood between Bode and Cal was beautiful. Seeing two people bond so well due to a shared tragedy and also a similar past; losing their family; was wonderful to see. Bode frequently referred to Cal as his Brother, and I agree wholeheartedly.
That's where the twist comes in. When it is revealed that Bode was working for the... rogue empire? Some kind of empire faction that didn't really care about the higher ups and would take in a jedi if it meant he works for their personal gain, I felt so worried. I was like, well shit. My favorite character is gonna die because he's silly. But no! The game makes his motives clear, wanting to protect his daughter at all costs. Calling him a villain would not be accurate. I feel like he was not able to control the dark side of his emotions as well as Cal had, though, due to being out of touch with the force all those years, working strictly as a bounty hunter.
It sucked that Cal ended up having to kill Bode. I understand, but I was really hoping he would come around and we could all be a happy family, but I guess the game wants to set up for a third game, as it is implied Cal is going to teach Kata the way of the force. Maybe? That's how I interpreted it, atleast.
This game was amazing, and the only thing keeping me from giving it the 10 I feel like it should have is the aforementioned performance issues that hindered my experience frequently.
Again. PLAY THIS IF YOURE A STAR WARS FAN YOULL BE DOING YOURSELF A FAVOR

ocarina of time 3d 10/10 this game rocks a whole lot. of course, every zelda game has to have the ONE dungeon that sucks dick and this game's was jabu, but every other dungeon was so fucking good and i loved everything about them. (water temple in 3ds is actually good)
i loved the music, the tone, the gameplay, all so good. i even accidentally almost 100%'d this just because i enjoyed exploring that much.

yeah this is probably the best one. not my favorite due to personal preference (not the biggest fan of the designs/artstyle) but i definitely fuck with the dungeons and such. fuck sky temple everything else can live tho

WOOOO THAT WAS REALLY GOOD!! i literally enjoyed every second of this videogame. the only thing i didn't like was one singular dungeon (eagle's tower) BUT EVEN THAT ONE THE BOSS WAS PEAK SO yeah. one of my new favorite zelda games.

yeah i didn't like this one very much. the first 3 dungeons are really cool and i like them a lot. everything after that is cryptic and i literally couldn't progress half the time without looking it up. also i feel like the enemies did WAY too much damage

this game is phantom hourglass again but just better in every single way. i actually played with only mouse this time, without the D-pad mod, and i think it went better. still as good as i remember it as a kid.

WHAT THE FUCK THIS WAS FIRE OH MY GOD I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!!! There was obviously so much love put into this and the gameplay was so fun and the dialog felt in character and so entertaining the whole way through. oh my gosh. dsajdhsadj

i played the d-pad patch of this game. i kinda didn't like it. shows how much the game really built the touchscreen into the gameplay. still a good game overall, i really liked the dungeons but they were REALLY easy and im a gamer soooo yeah.

good ass remake of one of my favorite games. this was my first time playing the hd version and all the improvements were just so epic and awesome. unfortunately the triforce quest is still a pain in the ass but its less of a pain in the ass.

thats one bare bones ass gta. not a single memorable character, i couldn't even tell you anything that happened in the story past the first and last mission. there's not even a lot to do other than all the side missions that i dont feel like doing. oof

yeah metal gear is awesome. i love the over the top matrix-like scenes and the absolutely absurd story-telling. the gameplay is also really fun and has a bunch of epic mechanics that make it truly hard to stay stealth sometimes. mg = good

yeah this game was kinda bullshit. there were segments of the game i had a lot of fun with ! but there we a loooot of segments where i thought it was the worst gameplay i've ever experienced, namely the final room in the architect tomb with the conveyors.

THATS IT. this is it. i've experienced peak video game
HOOOLLYYY SHITTT THIS GAME IS SO FUCKING FIRE. LITERALLY HAVEN'T HAD THIS MUCH FUN WITH A VIDEO GAME IN SO LONG. THE COMBAT, THE MUSIC, RAIDEN, EVERYTHING IS SO FUCKING BADASS OMG

my thoughts about this game are pretty much as simple as: wonderful beginning. wonderful ending(s). boring as fuck in between. i love most of the characters, but as soon as you get a feel for them, their mission lines end just as quickly. but its a gta game so its fun
