ok so I played around 20 hours into the game, my save file then became corrupted and I lost those 20 hours of progress, interpret that how you like

I think this one is about vaccinations or mind rape or something

2020

red flags immediately after seeing the word "quirky" in the description blurb

Damn. I don't know how Capcom has managed to keep such a high bar of quality for these first-person resident evil games but they've kept it wonderfully. Action that doesn't get stale, scares that are actually effective (I'm looking at you basement scene), an engaging enough story, and surprisingly effective performances from both the people you see and the man you play as. I'm hyped for the DLC whenever it drops. Ethan Winters gang stays winning.

Monolith cracks out another banger FPS. I haven't played first-person gunfights this satisfying in a while. The sound, the lighting, the martial arts; it's all great. It's a shame that there hasn't been a modern-day interpretation of the slow-mo system, it'd be crazy to see gameplay like this with the graphical fidelity of something like Resident Evil 7. Alas, Monolith are now stuck doing the bidding of Sauron and Legolas.

About the same quality as RE2, just in a shorter and less varied package. Not much to do after you beat the campaign as well.

Ada apologists be like "but she loves Leon deep down inside thoughhhhhhhhh"

our expectations were big but HOLY SHIT

This game will put hair on your chest and turn you into a man's man, or rather a gamer's gamer. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go join the nearest army.

I have no idea how DF were able to basically make the quintessential sequel. It's quite literally pyschonauts 2. It has the same great writing and plot, the same collectathon elements and it even sags in the second half like the first game!

As much as I love cathartic gun based violence, having to wade through this story was quite the downer. Plus who thought it was a good idea to make one of your main side characters a complete grading ear ache the entire game like fr fr doe

when real life isn't like dragon quest: (︶︹︺)

Part of me loves this game with it's great setting, weapons and gameplay mechanics. The other half doesn't really enjoy it with it's bland missions, boring gameplay loop and really dated writing. The two halves combine and in return I just wanna play ratchet and clank again

On the one hand, this is the start of survival horror and without the original RE, we wouldn't have nearly as many horror games. On the other, the systems in this game are woefully outdated and really come into the spotlight after years of refinement. I'm glad fixed camera is gone and I don't miss having to leave my computer on overnight since I don't have any ink ribbons to save the goddam game! In conclusion, Chris Redfield is epic, Wesker is senile and pitiful.
