A fantastic action-adventure game with tons of puzzles and secrets, and truly terrific and satisfying combat. It also has a humourous story that's not afraid to get a little deep and take things seriously. Highly recommended!!

Good boss fights, rewarding combat and surprisingly interesting story.

Puzzles didn't seem to add much to the game aside from blocking you certain areas until you have the right tools.

Dungeons did start to feel repetitive after a while

What a fantastic game! While it doesn't do a ton new, it has some of the most satisfying combat I've seen in one of these games. With plenty of nice visuals, cool bosses and amazing music, it is definitely worth a playthrough.

Room for improvements include the lack of a map and getting some upgrades a little too late in the game.

As i don't want to spoil much due to some... very heavy spoilers, i shall be short.
It's a great Zeldventure game with pretty damn tough at times combat involving dodgerolls, light and heavy strikes, and usage of magical tools. There isn't a lot of writing, but what is there is great and charming, as are the visuals, and the whole fact that you are playing a cute Little Crow, listening to a beautiful soundtrack.
Be warned, however, that 100%-ing the game is a task... And a task with some peculiar outcome.

I shall give out one pseudo-spoiler.

this one reminds me of Environmental Station Alpha way too much

CORVINHO DE UMBRELLA CORVINHO DE UMBRELLA CORVINHO DE UMBRELLA

Attempted the final boss too many times but unable to finally beat the game. Beautifully crafted game. Unforgiving, ungenerous final boss fight. Five star for overall game design, one star for forcing me to search YouTube to see how the game ends.

It's a pretty sweet Hyper Light Drifter/Dark Souls hybrid with a good solid conclusion, and if you play it for a few more hours afterward, it becomes the world's most boring adventure game capped off with an anime-tier lore dump.

That Old Crow boss fight was absolutely gorgeous. Last boss fight was miserable, I must've spent like eight hours on it, but I really loved that closing cutscene.

It's a well polished game that looks good, but not really a interesting one. Doesn't really do anything new, while failing to reach the heights of level design of Souls, Zelda games (the biggest influences for the game).

(low 6)

The ideal souls like: Cute, short, memorable and easy to pick up or put down.

Death's Door is a really well put together game, it looks good, it plays well and controlling the crow feels great, the music is not bad also. I also like the design of the world as it is an interconnected world but the areas are also separate in themes. I liked how it simulates Zelda by having items unlock new paths and going back to previous areas to explore really resonates with me. I also don't really know how I feel about the post game, cause for the most part it's new and interesting content that should be in the main story, but it also has some filler parts. Lastly, I liked Death's Door but it really doesn't do anything groundbreaking or mind boggling, I wish it had done more, even tough what it has to offer is good.

Good but challenging. The World design, the animation was great.

only thing I wish this game had was a map

I may not be sure if Death's Door lives up to the best entries in the franchises it is most inspired by (The Legend of Zelda and Dark Souls), but I can say that Death's Door is a very good game with some great boss fights (including one of my favorite final bosses in recent memory), cool puzzles, and neat exploration.

It’s easy to read Death’s Door as an homage to Zelda — particularly the Link to the Past sub-genre. The similarities are striking, but the muted color pallet, tighter combat, and needlessly convoluted narrative set up Death’s Door as a more adult take on the 2D action-adventure genre. I don’t think I like it as much as its more sincerely stylistic cousins (A Link between Worlds, Phantom Hourglass, etc.).

The post-game also feels extremely bloated, yet another trait linking death’s door to the handheld Zelda titles.

One of the best isometric/ top down zelda games I've played. Really really good, really really cute. Will def be one of my fave games of the year, I literally did 2 playthroughs back to back it was that good, w 100% achievos on steam

Knocked off half a star bc the enemy repetition did get a bit old, wish there had been more variety. But otherwise an insanely good game + story

First real game I've beaten in a long time, and a damn solid one too.

Really nice game, cute art style, good music and a fair difficulty level.

Not my thing personally but if you like top-down brawler-type games that are super challenging, you're gonna love it.

Cute lil crow goes and murders everything
