Okay I got addicted to this. I am so happy to playing all these different types of games, there are so many fresh ideas around in these smaller titles. The art style and music really invokes CastleVania but the simple gameplay really shines. A fun light version of bullet hell and roguelike. Really fun. A finished all the cycles but I want to play more for fun.

Sat down to play a round and 6 hours went by.
A+

I thought this was just going to be a well-tuned but typical rogue lite experience. I did not expect the sheer depth of unlockables to explore though. Their is a lot of meat on these bones.

No game has a more perfected and finely-tuned cycle of player empowerment followed by challenge and back again than Vampire Survivors.

And it won't let me put it down.

You could find flash games with more substance than this.
It's mind-numbing once you pick the correct upgrades, a coomer experience where you just see the numbers rise and the screen flooded with enemies you just mop over.

I could literally make an essay about how everything the game uses to appeal is a manifestation of all the dirty tricks we've seen in the last decade of gaming plopped into a single package.

a little too transparently slots machine for my taste. kinda grosses me out tbh.

fun while it lasted, same path as 20minutes till dawn though in that it just couldnt hold my attention

only the normal end.
fuck them relics

What’s there to review really? If one dimensional push joystick and win games are your thing knock yourself out. I can’t play more than two runs in this game without getting bored to tears, or a deep sadness when you realize that a dumb game like this is loved by many… kind of shows you how depressing the state of triple A gaming has become.

This game is really dumb. Like, REALLY dumb... in the best possible way. Every single thing about it knows how to deliver a nice big hit of mindless dopamine; the sound design, the lights and colours, the minimal input you have as a player making you feel like you earned it... fantastic! It does help that the game knows its dumb too, and overall it absolutely nails what its going for.

empiezas el juego por la noche y ves el sol entrando por la ventana

While not the actual daddy of this "new" survival-like genre, it definitely had enough polish, interesting aspects, and replayability that it brought the genre to life in an explosion. Great art style, fast paced, lots of fun. Insane number of things to get that you actually want to get and aren't just for completionists.

Gambling simulator without the crushing debt. Just one more chest and the run will be saved I just know it.

70% - You spend the first 45 minutes trying to find good items and then you spend the rest of the game trying to find your character and bitrate.

Someone invented this really neat service that can deliver dopamine straight to your brain, weird that they called it Vampire Survivors though

This basically feels like a really cool flash game I would have randomly discovered in 2010 or something and that’s really neat.

So simple but completely addictive. Very fun.

The concept is so fucking stupid and I love it

Novelty factor really helped this one, but runs feel too similar pretty quickly.

Man why can't I just shoot hyper death beams in peace.

A perfect little pick up and play game, fantastic fit for mobile. The short rounds make it great for when youre waiting in line or commuting. The sense of progression is really strong but the further I get into it the more it feels like im plataeuing--but that may just be me spending less time with it and getting back less progression, as you'd expect. It may be more absorbing for someone into minmaxing for the perfect run, but I play it fairly casually.

I have a lot of fun with it either way. Turning a character into a bullet spitting buzzsaw throwing death machine is a blast.

If you have any interest at all, pick it up on mobile for free and give it a spin! Theres a reason it ended up on all those game of the year lists.

We need more roguelikes that turn you into an immortal* god

The best value I've gotten for a game since I bought Terraria for a dollar. Shockingly engaging, though things can be a little slow before you start unlocking content.

Mate, Why was this a computer game before it was a phone game?
