The challenge of Super Princess Peach is less about making it through each stage and more finding every single Toad before facing the final boss. However, this game has nothing in the way of puzzles or brain teasers to challenge the player like how difficult reaching some of the secret exits can be in Super Mario World. The most resistance the game normally offers is placing a clearly visible obstacle that the player has to go "Oh right, I use [one of three emotions] to clear this" and badda boom, there's the missing Toad right behind it.

Between the extremely low difficulty and the complete lack of the conventional "lives" system in about every other Mario game, it very much feels like this game was designed with kid gloves (or maybe girl gloves?) on, and it's less interesting than it could be as a result.

Cute game, but not terribly fun to play.

Obsessed with how much of a nothingburger this was. The epitome of "go girl!! give us nothing!!!"

Requiring all the toads (this game's equivalent of the star coins) to access the final boss (like, the actual final level of the game and not a secret level or something) is an unhinged choice for a Mario game that I kinda have to respect it.

Played this game in the waiting room at the abortion clinic.

The fact that you have to save every toad before fighting the boss is one of the worst attempts at padding a game out I have ever seen. I would have finished it, but I do not want to go back and essentially play the whole game again. Other than that, this was a pretty solid and underrated title. Would have been an 8 if it were not for what I already mentioned.

Peach’in özel gĂŒcĂŒ çok duygusal olması.

Waited for so long for a Princess Peach game, and was excited to play it. Only to find a boring, easy game without any soul. Level design? Forget it, too hard. Cool mechanics? Sure! But let’s make it boring to use. Nintendo really needs to make a good Peach game with the upcoming switch one to make up for this fail.

Super Princess Peach is an interesting spin on the Mario franchise, making you play as Princess Peach and saving Mario from Bowser. The moveset of the princess is complex and can be expanded upon by buying new abilities in the ingame shop and from certain levels. Thanks to her new companion umbrella, she can attack and protect herself, and her emotion powers allow her to solve puzzles within the levels and defeat certain enemies.

The game can feel a bit repetitive though, and the levels can drag for a long time, since they are way longer than the typical Mario levels. Still a good game for what it is, and its fun playing as the princess for a change, considering how vastly different she controls.

A solid and interesting platformer. I'd love to see more Mario spinoffs in this vein.

lol my cousin found this game under ice in the hockey rink parking lot and chipped the ice with his hockey stick and gave it to me lmao thanks dj 😜

i dont really care for the main premise being 'peach has melodramatic unstable emotions'
kinda messes up the sorta feminist angle they sold this on.
theyre called vibes but like.. theyre just emotions but it doesnt make sense as emotions. wheres disgust & fear? gloom has her run fast which couldve been used for fear instead. also calm is not an emotion? what? doesnt make sense.

it shouldve been elemental themed powers.
joy shouldve been air powers
rage shouldve been fire powers
gloom shouldve been water powers
calm shouldve been earth powers i guess idk

the game is fine. weirdly more challenging than i expected.

the postgame is a grind of repeating the entire game. its lame.
it should’ve had daisy as the second player with new gameplay style somehow like they usually have for luigi.

the tasks used with emotions are repetitive

the pre boss fight boss touch screen mini games are gimmicky and dumb.

theres no save notification when getting toads

the trampolines are hard to use

you have to collect every toad to fight bowser

i like the umbrella. he's cute.

THEY NEED TO REMAKE THIS GAME

Even while still being a dumbass child that would not touch any "girl stuff" cuz it was for girls, the moment I realized there was a Princess Peach game, I was incredibly excited to play it.

Back in the day, I thought it was good, but the more I think back on this game, it truly was just a nothing experience. There is no difficulty, no challenge, the game holds you by the hand the entire time and never lets you go; it doesn't even work like a traditional Mario game with a proper lives system.

This game would be perfect for my little sister who can't even get past the first goomba in any Mario game...But it is upsetting to me that this is all Nintendo does with Peach. I have seen footage of the newest Peach game "Princess Peach: Showtime!" and it looks like it suffers from the same problems as this one, just with a higher budget.

If you are looking for a good Princess Peach game on the same level as the Mario games, Warioland or Yoshi's Island, this ain't it. This is just another bland DS game for toddlers and little girls, who for some reason Nintendo thinks should not be challenged, in a videogame made specifically for them.

Absurdly awesome to play, wish Nintendo would make more like th-oh hey.

Originally played back in 2015, I'm due for a replay sometime soon :3

Who could’ve guessed it, the weakest Princess in the Mario franchise had a great ass game.

A female protagonist that fights with her emotions? What did Nintendo mean by that?

A pretty good game that holds up with the rest of the Mario spinoffs. The feature of using the different emotions to do stuff was good for a lot of puzzles. I also really liked the music in the game.

However, this game did one of the most annoying things that games like this can do: make collectibles required. In order to fight Bowser, you need to find every Toad in the game, which is super annoying and tedious since there was no way of knowing that while playing through the levels the first time. I also found the final boss fight to be a bit awkward and not straight forward.

Why was this game so good? I have no idea, but it was.

Going to rip the Band-Aid off now and just list off all the problems I have with this game so it doesn't feel disingenuous.

-the emotions gimmick is a really really cool idea and sometimes it's used well but most of the time it just feels kind of one note

-before every boss fight you have to play these stupid ass mini games that require the stylus and they're super uncomfortable to play and completely destroy the pacing

-the backstory with Perry the parasol is fine but not only do they recycle the cutscene animations every single time, but it's not even resolved by the end of the game for some reason???

-THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE TO GET ALL OF THE TOADS BEFORE YOU CAN FIGHT THE FINAL BOSS. FUCK THAT.

Other than those things the game is gud 👍
