Very simple game. Somehow got 12 hours out of it, but you don't really get anything more of it after 2 hours, since it's essentially just the same mechanic repeated over and over.

It's got that kind of Factorio feel where you keep optimizing stuff and "researching" things based on prior research, but in a more chill and laid-back way. Great way for me to catch up on some podcasts. It's not incompletely enough to not feel like a real game, but it definitely needs some type of proper endgame.

Does not fuck with you and behaves like a video game

lots of potential here! can't wait for future updates.

I’m excited for this game to leave early access! It’s really addicting.

Obligatory this is based on the alpha.
A really fun shopkeep game. Love the style and allows me to min-max potion brewing.

Super fun in short periods, but after a while it gets a little repetitive

can get repetitive after a while but it's really fun and chill! i like it a lot!

Not really that enjoyable, as some of the mechanics are explained very briefly. The game is extremely obtuse with any other information not explained in the tutorial.

Fun, albeit simple, puzzles. Very bare bones. Gets somewhat dull and grindy. The bartering mechanic is very poorly implemented. Feels like they released it before all features had been implemented, based on in-game text.

That aside, it's a fun art style, simple but intuitive puzzle mechanics. A very chill game that I enjoyed playing.

Well put together, and had good moments, but it kind of made me... sleepy? After I got to a certain point my frustrations escalated because the merchants stopped selling me ingredients that went to the right, and it felt like I was kind of dead in the water. Other than my personal preferences it's clear that a lot of thought went into creating the game and balancing out certain aspects. Wasn't for me though.

Played for about three hours since I got one month of PC Game Pass.

It's pretty fun, with really charming visuals and fun dialogue. I've never seen a game with gameplay like this one, and while creative it gets a bit tiring and grindy after a while so I'm probably not going to finish this. Still a must-try for people that like this kind of games.

This is a delightfully comfortable game that I always fall back on when I tire of the other games I'm playing. Once you burn through the tutorials, it becomes an easy game to pick up and play, as you explore your map by mixing ingredients gathered from your garden (or purchased from merchants), in order to discover new potions to brew and gain XP. What's the goal? There are many to achieve, but the main premise, is that you are an alchemist who opens a potion shop, helping patrons with their everyday problems, from noble, to perhaps even evil. They ask for a specific potion, and it's your job to make it. Don't have the potion they are looking for? Then it's time to get back to the drawing board, and explore your map in order to find new potions. It's a routine that has you playing through in game "days", as you wake up, gather your ingredients, and open your shop. It's a lovely game, with beautiful Celtic inspired music and artwork to immerse you into its enchanting world of potion crafting. $15 well spent!

Currently it's a fun little minigame, which (as often mentioned already) has quite some potential to grow to a bigger game.

I played for 2 hours and although there are some things to unlock, I don't really feel tempted to do so. In my opinion it's way too expensive at the moment for the content it delivers.

You basically play as Martin Shkreli, the poison salesman from the Runescape quest Murder Mystery, and the Potion Seller from Potion Seller. Pretty good!

cute game, i got for Christmas last year and I'm thankful for that!

it has some really unique mechanics.

An interesting minigame stretched out to a full release. Incredibly repetitive

An interesting take on alchemy.

Potion Craft is a simple game, you gather ingredients from your garden, grind up potions and then sell them to customers who come with a variety of issues. The key feature of the game is how you craft potions. It revolves around moving across a map to decide which effects to add to the potion and each ingredient moves your marker a bit. Exploring the map and trying different things allows you to discover more of the game.

The downside is that the game is stingy with new features, apparently, the game says a new feature is coming each time you level up, but the game teased me for that for at least thirty minutes straight, and finally, I gave up because I couldn’t find it. The pacing is pretty bad. Also, some customers in the game want a potion but don’t make it clear exactly what they want, and there are only so many healing potions you can make or try to make the perfect tier three potion before the game becomes too annoying to go on.

Pick this up to try something new. I had to look this up because part of my brain was screaming that it’s from someone like Zachtronics, it’s not, though it fits in that same category. It's mostly a simulator, but also an engaging experience, and I probably will return eventually. This is not the type of game you should sit down and play through straight, it’s probably better if you play in shorter bursts and if I had done so, I would enjoy this more.

I covered this game as part of the Game Pass for December 2022, if you enjoyed this review or want to know what I think of other games on Game Pass, check out the full review on or subscribe to my Youtube channel: https://youtu.be/zMUphOC2gMI

Fun little game! It definitely gets repetitive after a while and I wish certain systems were a little more fleshed out. Bartering is... questionable.

Some really awesome art and good ideas on display. I'd love to see the developers follow this game up with something that builds on the foundations of this.

It was fun for the first 20 minutes. Then it soon gets really repetitive and kinda frustrating, the concept of exploring the map like that is not interesting at all and it just becomes obtuse after you get past the first few potions. How is somebody supposed to consistently make complicated potions if it takes so many ingredients? Not great overall

Pretty torn on this one. I love its visual design, and how inventive and tactile the potion crafting feels. The overwhelming variety of ingredients and the traversal they allow on the alchemy map are wonderful, as are their cleverly color-coded designs. I enjoyed how the clients and the flavor of their demands changes depending on who you refuse service to (serve too many scoundrels and suddenly you’re only getting bandits and necromancers in the door). I don’t love the repetitive grind of the retail simulation, or the way it gates progression behind waiting on certain merchants to show up or certain ingredients to regrow in the garden. I also hated the way the alchemy formulas for the Salts and Stones depended on the same Stone from the previous stage, since I pretty much never wanted to make any of them a second time (it’s novel the first time, but tedious busywork after that).

Based on the dev’s roadmap, it seems like some of these complaints might be alleviated in the future; maybe I’ll pick it up again then, but for now I’m satisfied having created everything but the Philosopher’s Stone and a couple of higher level Salts.

I've earned every single achievement in this game out of pure OCD. I spent about 10+ hours listening to YouTube or watching shows while grinding reputation

It's great at first, but the late-game is exceptionally monotonous, and the game still feels incomplete, despite being a "full release"

Still, the beginning and start of the midgame is fun and I enjoyed the wittiness of the different NPCs before they began to repeat themselves daily

Really nice visually and with very unique gameplay. I've never seen anything like it before this. It becomes a bit repetitive near the end and the final tasks are more tedious than anything else, but the loop of finding new recipes, perfecting them by getting new ingredients and dominating the different tools to make the most efficient potions you can make is very, very fun.

If I have to criticize something, the alchemy machine is very annoying to use (unless you have tons of recipes saved) and moving around the most complex areas of the map can be very frustrating unless you savescum.

Other than that, a very nice experience that I've thoroughly enjoyed up until I only had some really hard and obnoxious things left to do that I've decided not to do to finish on a good note.

Tremendamente meh.
