A good game that can't get out of it's own way. I was a big fan of the original Hot Shot Golf games especially 3 and finally picked this up. The easy to grasp, hard to master simple golf mechanics are still there and the natural golfian drama of watching your putt sail slowly towards the hole, is all still there...

But the game is a fuckin' grind. You don't unlock characters and you gotta grind your ass off to unlock courses. I've put a good 5 or 6 hours into the game and have 2 courses. Each are also only 9 holes. So really... I have one course still. The aesthetic is also hub world based and micro transation heavy so hard to recommend this game even tho it's pretty fun (especially online with friends).

It wasn't an end of the season Soccer party at Godfather's Pizza until I put 3 bucks in quarters in this game and barely made it anywhere.

Absolutely atrocious by yourself but a blast and a half with friends.

My personal favorite of the Arcade Founding Era. It's got the perfect cocktail of complexity and simplicity with just a few things to keep in mind while you zip around the map in your spaceship.

The game feel and weight of your ship and crunch of your blaster are amazingly well developed for the time. There is a real sense of speed and inertia to navigating in this game which makes catching a human right as they're about to hit the ground all the more satisfying.

A certified stone cold classic.

Amazingly fun third person shooter for this gen.

Very little of my brain was active while I was playing online matches but the monkey part of my brain loved running and shooting and getting shot as a stormtrooper with a real big gun.

Didn't care for the heroes tho I'm admittedly not a huge Star Wars fan.

Absolutely hypnotizing little game. Takes more than an hour to do a seasonal cycle but that is one relaxing and enjoyable hour. I really loved this game at the time.

You will never play another game exactly like the Witness and that's either fine by you or the most heartbreaking tragedy for you. For me it's a tragedy. The raw feelings of discovery and learning the game's internal logic has been impossible to replicate. A true classic. The perfect puzzle game.

Pretty good and an interesting protagonist but if you asked me what happened in the back half of this game I honestly couldn't tell ya. Just plain forgot.

My family bought a PS1 with this, Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped and Heart of Darkness one Christmas.

That was the Christmas I finally become a medical-grade game-liker and I attribute a lot of that to this game. It ruled. Always got room in my heart for Hworang.

I forgot that I played this game and it existed before I saw the box art. Not a good sign.

Absolutely unparalled party game. It's fucked that Nintendo continues to shovel out Mario Party games when this series gets neglected.

Quality space shooter that hits the lil itch in your brain that makes you wanna merc some tie fighters.

Very weird racing mechanics the neither me or my brothers understood so we usually just went back to double dash

Pretty clever at the time and some neat ideas but not like a stone cold classic.
