I know this game has fallen out of fashion, but I enjoyed the hell out of it on release. I can shoot lightning at a guy standing in a puddle and then club 'em with a big mace while listening to Billie Holliday. I am sure a dweeb could tell me actually this sucks and I shouldn't be having fun but who cares.

I usually don't go in for this type of ARPG game (I've never even finished a Diablo) but for some reason this one clicked with me. I'm not even particularly into the setting it just had a great loop and a great over world.

Probably my favorite WWII game and one of my favorite real time strategy games. I like that it's not as resource and speed obsessed as say Starcraft...

Oh... I should rate Starcraft actually.

Listen... the guy is clever okay! I'm not a hardcore Blow apologist but you can't see he's ever made a game that didn't rack your brain at some point or another. I like the Witness a lot more than this game, this is undoubtedly 100x more influential, unleashing a tidal wave of Indie puzzle platformers on the world.

Totally competent and forgettable it was one of the first games i played on my gaming laptop when i got it.

While I wasn't as in love with this as some other folks, you gotta give it credit for it's creativity. It was doing the Mario Galaxy gravity trick before even Mario Galaxy. A good fun creative game with great writing. Probably Double Fine's finest work.

We all broke our brains wide open on this one in my Freshman dorm.

I feel bad knocking this to 2.5 as it was a pretty clever twisting environment puzzler and it was from a time when there were not a lot of games for mac owners to play so I finished the whole thing, but I can't say it blew me away.

I played all the expansions to the Civ IV game but am reviewing this one for some reason. I remember really liking it. I think I've put more hours into Civ V but I just like Civ IV more for some reason.

One of the first Humble Bundle games. Everyone has probably played it but no one really remembers it. Clean and simple in it's execution it doesn't really leave a lasting impression but it's fun while it lasts.

I honestly picked this up on the strength of Koei's previous release Mark of the Ninja and while base building, resources gathering games aren't really my vibe I'm glad they found a big audience with this one. I had a pretty good time with it myself.

2010

Pretty good. Not as refined, clever and haunting as it's follow up Inside but still pretty good for the time all things considered.

Technically there's nothing that puts this individual point and click adventure above the rest but the arty style, setting, music and everything else just clicks with me. I love this game.

Unremarkable in every way. A melted vanilla ice cream cone sitting on top of a garbage can.

If there's a better video game out there... I haven't played it.
