Fun with lots of interactions but I feel some of the levels are way bigger than they need to be, plus the black and white visuals can make things blend in together a bit too much.

Nothing's more fun than spamming the same attack over and over and winning

Seriously underrated by the Yakuza community, however I will be fair and say the Remaster is a pretty poor way to play Yakuza 3. I've gotten the Plat twice for this version of the game and I've played a significant amount of the original version to note the key differences:
1. Quickstep distance on PS4 is halved of what it is on console and double on Xbox/PC. This makes it difficult to get behind enemies which is a key part of Y3's design.
2. Enemies block waaaaay more than they should. Enemies block a decent amount in the original release, but an important strat is to whiff your light hits and land your heavy ones. This is much harder on the remaster because enemies will block you from a distance for no reason (Shinzaki in the hitman missions is completely ruined due to him blocking 99% of attacks, it's miserable).
3. Minigames like pool and darts are much harder than they've ever been. Shooting cues is inaccurate unless you pull your joystick back perfectly and dart shots are imprecise unless you find the perfect speed. Fishing used to be insanely difficult but a patch was released to make it the easiest fishing in the series.
4. Heat will drop extremely quickly if you don't constantly hit your enemies, dropping three times sooner and three times quicker than the original release. This makes heat actions tough to consistently use which is unfortunate since Y3 lets you pop them off constantly.
Y3's got a fun story, alright side content, and satisfying combat but unfortunately the remaster puts a bit of a botch into this great game. I'd still recommend this version but if you can get your hands on the original I'd recommend it more, despite the cut content

Going straight from Guac 1 to 2 was a really disappointing jump as one of my favorite things about 1 was its story. The super meta backstory put a massive damper on most of my fun for the entire game. The combat and platforming is still fun and exploring is as rewarding as most other metroidvanias at least, but if you don't like meta video-game related stories I would steer clear

Man, this spin-off isn't nearly as good as anyone says. When I played Ishin, the only other game I had left in the series to play was Kurohyou 2 and I had gotten the Platinum trophies for 0, K1/K2, 3-7, Judgment, Lost Judgment, and FotNS: LP so I was quite versed on the series. Playing Ishin was by far the longest slot the series has ever put me through and I didn't even go for the Platinum (yet). The story is boring and uninteresting since it's entirely focused on politics and an uninteresting relationship between Ryoma and his fiance. The combat, while interesting and varied, is heavily unbalanced and some styles just aren't nearly as good as others, plus if you don't grind enough you'll hit a wall since later bosses rely on you being stronger than them. The substories and friendships are the most tedious they've ever been in the series with no substantial rewards for doing any of them. It makes me sad that this is the game people want instead of Kenzan which is a significantly better overall package in every way

UPDATE: 6/28/2022
I've finally finished the Platinum Trophy for the game and I've reverted my score of 2.5/5 stars. The plat process is one of the most frustrating and tedious things I've ever gone through and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. This game sucks and is in the bottom three of all RGG games.

Earthbound-inspired RPG with themes of depression and anxiety

Really disappointed with the Steamworld team on this one, The Gunk is boring, has poor level design, and a terribly uninteresting story that made me struggle to get to the end of this five hour game

Really wish I could like Oblivion, but something about it has me completely disconnected from it. I don't enjoy the combat, the story, the voice acting, or the world in any way, shape, or form. I can give a little credit to Shivering Isles since it's at the very least mildly interesting, but I can't say I connected to a single quest or character in the process of doing everything the game had to offer

Fun little midquel with neat puzzles and great writing, but there's not a lot of substance to it unfortunately. Highly recommend for $10 or less

One of the most innovative and unique platformers I've played, I loved damn near every level in the game and the story and characters are some of my all time favorites. The only complaint I'd have is that finding figments can be annoying due to their translucency and/or their movement, plus some of the later levels can be a bit of a slog but otherwise it's one of my favorite platformers I've played in recent years

Pretty boring to me, I couldn't get much of an experience out of this game overall. Not much else to say except it's not for people who don't like more experimental games.

My love for Tifa Lockhart grows stronger every day
