Holy shit I should've played this game when it released last year in 2023.

Hi fi rush is a huge departure from tangos previous works by being a Rythym hack and slach game that takes elements from Guitar hero and mixing them into a blender with a hint of Devil may cry and Jet set radio and what do you get?

One of the most FUN action games I've played in a very long time. Seriously in a era of endless rehashes of various franchises this game felt like a breath of fresh air that Harkens back to 00s cartoons all while having beautiful artstyle and goated ost to compliment it.

Seriously PLAY THIS GAME.

Yakuza 5 is a very interesting beast to say the least it has some of the Strongest moments in the series that are bogged down by it's slow pace and Huge Exposition Dumps. While Some People may dislike it, Personally I think the Game hits the right notes.

Admittedly I had some doubts and fears about this game since it was touted as much smaller game along with Kiryu stepping back into the protagonist role again but safe to say Gaiden really hits the mark for me.

Taking place years after Yakuza 6, Kiryu is thrust back into the new identity as Joryu in a sort of Interquel around Y7 to Y8. Really dig the new agent style a lot with being able to pull out more tricks out that would make James bond blush. It's nice to RGG rework the dragon of dojima fighting style completely along with bringing back some heat moves from pre Dragon engine games.

I spent a good majority of my time in the side content along with Awesome arena fights which takes Clan creator from Y6 but Improves upon it significantly. A lot of the new characters were very memorable (Akame, Shishido and Tsurono) and I honestly legit Teared up at the ending of the game. I'm very excited to see the direction RGG is taking this series by the time Infinite wealth drops in January next year. But yeah a Good game all around.

Coming hot off the heels of the excellent Tekken 7, Tekken 8 does not disappoint at all.

Hard to believe it's finally here.

Final Fantasy 16 is a game that I've been genuinely hyped and somewhat cautiously optimistic up until it's release and I can happily say it lived up to my expectations. Clive easily has to be one my favorite VG protagonists in a very long time helped by the amazing performance of Ben Starr. Everything else from the gameplay, Narrative, Characters and ost are are top notch.

Now I see why this game got a sequel. Fantastic story and characters marked with a banger ost (Poets of the fall FTW) Gameplay is on the weaker side but it doesn't take away from a classic.

Superb Follow up to RE7 that expands upon the core gameplay and improves up to 11. Majority of the game is great and I really liked ethan a lot as a character, Definitely a game I'll replay Multiple times over.

Since I've been on a huge FF kick this year why not?

Crisis core is a game that I have a lot of distant memories that resurfaced along with a new mindset to match my experience. Replaying this entire game has been a huge treat though it's not perfect (Genesis and some grindy missions withstanding) Still a worthwhile game if you Love 7.

A solid return to form to one of Gaming's most Iconic Horror Franchise.

A Constant thrill ride from start to finish that never lets up while having one of the coolest Gaming robots ever. Seriously play this game.

Got to this game about a Year and half later then most.

Ratchet and Clank is a series that really meant a lot to me growing up as a kid. Starting from it's humble beginnings on the PS2, Then Jumping to the PS3 with the future trilogy before starting to lose Steam in the Early to mid 2010s. ( The Remake was fine) It had me Thinking ''Imagine a True Next Gen Ratchet and Clank title''

Fast forward to 2023 being a proud owner of a PS5 I can say that Rift Apart...................is Amazing.

Right off the Bat this game starts off from the events of a Crack in time with the titular duo having a celebration for their 20 plus years of heroics. Clank surprises ratchet with a new Dimensionator with the promise to find all the other lombaxes until Dr nefarious swoops and messes up reality.

Core gameplay is basically an upgraded Crack in time with some new tricks that spice the gameplay up. Rift Pull and the Phantom dash are great Mechanics that should stay in future games. Ratchet's Core arsenal is Very solid ( Topiestray Sprinkler ftw) albeit with some Ehhh Late game weapons that feel a bit useless. Platforming is solid as usual with some new stuff like the Speetlebugs that give me vibes from Crash's 2 polar bear levels.

Rivet and Kit are Very fun characters that play off each other very well helped by the Stellar voice direction and writing. I actually busted out laughing one time over a Cutscene with a particular character that I won't spoil.

Also Visually this game is freaking gorgeous. but yeah Rift apart is a great game that appeals to both old and new fans.

DEMOCRACY NEVER SLEEPS!

Hands down one of the best co op shooters I've played in a long time. If you want a mix of Starship troopers and EDF then this is your game.

Solid Sequel to Devil May Cry 3 with Great Mechanics and Depth to it. Dante's Moveset is Great and Nero Adds a lot to the Combat. However The Poor Level design, Backtracking along with Annoyingly Designed Enemies and Bosses hurt the experience a lot in the long run, Thankfully It paved the way for DMCV.
