I don't know if any AC game has the "Assassin Juice" but this one certainly does not. What it does have is a story so boring it almost undermines the setting, paper-thin characters and a unbalanced combat system. The setting and exploration mechanics do what they can to evoke the feeling of early AC games, but the real conspiracy here is that early AC games were never great. Mirage not a throwback; it is a regression.

It should of had a bigger budget and itshould of had more rails.

I feel no shame abandoning this game shortly before viewing it's ending. Whatever large explosions or grand displays of firearms I am missing do not pale to the spectacular expressions of violence I have experienced in games created after this game--unless the story improved twelve-fold in the final ten percent, I would find no joy in experiencing it either. Far be it from me to make assumptions or say anything to harsh about video game creator or players, so take this next statement with a sense of frustrated facetiousness: GTA III was made by, made for, and played by people who did not understand that the way they felt at the time would not be the way they would feel for the rest of their lives. This is every bit the game my conservative parents warned me about, however, it is also too difficult to play to be even worth the hatred.

It Takes Two is delighful to play with your partner or close friend. The game feels like it was written by an alien after one semester of interplanetary studies at an earth university, studying for a creative writing degree. The game is also twice as long as you think and you will also, as the players be forced to do unbelievably cruel things to others.

This is a pimordial cozy game, assuming you are comforted by the presence of magic and dragons.

Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) is so boot-lickingly desperate not to offend the NYPD that it invents super cops, whose crowd contol tactics are only a slight exageration in comparison to real-life please, for Peter Parker to punch. But hey, it makes you feel like spiderman weeeee.

A cool story concept that doesn't work because the plot is incomprehensible. A hearty of amount of effort wasted on a tired gameplay loop. I played the whole though so how bad can it be.

2016

It is dissapointing that the game does not distain it's own lore as much as I do.

I have nothing of benefit to say about Dear Esther, except that I think it is straight up gorgeous. One time I had a game design professor explain why he thought this isn't technically a "game". He was wrong. This is as much a game as any other game you can name.

Silly little game for my silly little brain.

It's absolutely charming but a little bare-boned. It's a charming Tuesday afternoon.

Turnip boy does a lot with a little but I don't like the writing and I got really bored about half way through.
