Metroid NES but there's a section where you are a naked girl in the birth trauma dimension, deeply wonderful
(also penguins)

Wonderful Experimental Fixed Camera horror game, doing as much as it can with it on such a tiny scale, great use of repetition, perfect use of fairly simple assets, and haunting all over.

Breath of The Wild isn't particularly astoundingly good, it's just that it makes other similar games seem embarrassing.

IT captures the feeling of travel travel only if one doesn't use the terrible quick travel system, it has a lot of interesting systems that make the fact it takes place in a world actually mean something that the player doesn't really need to engage with, and it has a lot of detail that makes it feel distinctly palpable. It just feels like a game that is building up to something that never really comes, everything is made accessible enough where nothing can really be too deep. Shrines are enjoyable little challenges, but never too advanced, combat is really pleasantly desperate feeling ,even in some cases later on in the game, but a lynel is still harder to kill than the final boss, and the game provides palpable rewards for things like quests, that honestly would be more pleased if they rewarded nothing at all.

But it has a lot of beauty and loneliness and exploration that do feel meaningful, when one tries even a little bit to make it so.

Almost dissappointingly hypnotically fun experience in the mundanity and occasional intense excitement of its gameplay
An slow long term anxiety attack of a game, where yours truly is fully convinced no one has gotten the last ending without a guide.
Beautiful despair invading without

Sonic Battle is a game about raising a child to be their own independent being, and then having to brutally kill them while everyone mourns their passing

A bit of a RETVRN TO TRADITION
Which hurts after the vibrancy and ambition of the adventure games(and battle) with extremely superfluous writing, except for team dark, where it somehow transcends and becomes genuinely harrowing and compelling as a followup to SA2.

Game also very pretty

Deeply impressive and really fun horror/action game, with some level of danmaku present and slow methodical player control and shooting mechanics, managing to make a compelling little loop out of repedly playing through a tiny space of the game is genuinely just a deeply impressive achievement, especially for something made in such a short time.
Honestly one of my favourite touhou doujin games

I did it, I killed sonic
(the game is cute and has one of the best official pieces of Sage art. the plot resolution feels a little depressing, with the value of robot life being so low as to be an active nuisance)

Easy enough to beat for your truly to get all the endings and the girls have cute dialogue and repetition is a sweet succor to the tired brain

play it to own your gf (literally)

Revoltingly fucking straight jesus christ

Monster Hunter joins games in complete vestigiality of their own systems. In trying to make the game more "fun" and movesets more complicated, it streamlines gathering, sharpening, any kind of resource management, planning around the hunts with item needs and even variety of gameplay in any meaningful sense into oblivion, leaving an admitedly entertaining multiplayer character action game, with none of the strategic depth and slow methodical approach and somewhat lowfi charm that birthed and sustained the series more or less up until world.
Games are a victim of comfortable player bases

A game released in a state that one rarely sees games come out with, very clearly troubled and unfinished that it feels like playing a leaked piece of lost media.

Every twist of the story and aesthetic choice oddly inspired to add to that feeling, Mephiles, literally shadow's shadow, slowly approaching the camera as if it was a creepy-pasta edit, shadow's power limiter rings only ever mentioned in sonic X and nowhere else play a role. You fight an Angel to end the world, in order to save it, and silver is a fuckup unlike any other.

Sonic 06's sense of unreality is impeccable, and really knows how to render water

Spooky scary skeletons gothic medieval mystical vibe of a dark fairytale & the loading screens look like diablo

Heather is trans as fuck and the best silent hill protagonist and the game is beyond hauntingly beatiful, she could stab me idc

Orgasm as a repressed trauma-boymoder through incredible violence, fromsoftware trans-themes continue flowing under the surface through cum, blood and divine waters.
