Gameplay is slow and repetitive, but the story is excellent. I stopped halfway through and watched a let's play on youtube instead; this was an excellent decision.

The same bland gameplay as the first one, with an unbelievable level of polish, but a much less compelling story. Made it about 2/3s of the way and stopped.

Hold shoot on enemy while moving left and right, spend 5 minutes comparing loot stats to your own guns', walk to next area, repeat.

My first 1st person shooter (obviously loved it as a kid), and cool puzzles too. It holds up very well, and also happens to be an amazing speedgame.

Fun, creative gameplay. Too much hype for an overall middling experience.

Unironically fun in a usually frustrating time.

FUN, FAST, ARCADE-Y, GOOD MUSIC, GRINDY (in a good way), FUN, FAST, FUN!!!!

The best head to head strategy game there is, with an excellent rating system, UI, and ability to watch other matches. All $500+ of sets can be rented for less than $3/month.

I wanted to like it, but getting past the first chapter takes more willpower than I possess.

Fun as a teenager, and again as an adult using mods. I've had so much fun with this game in my lifetime, but it's mostly just a sandbox for modders to make good content.

Best entry in the series by FAR. I don't love VNs, but this one is a must play.

Fun and challenging 2D platformer as a kid! No idea how well it holds up now, I have no plans to find out.

Great core gameplay loop, funny and surprisingly fun strategy. Not really anything special though, and they didn't randomize the events for some strange reason so every playthrough is the same. Fun to stream.

Incredibly fun as a teenager. It doesn't hold up.

One of the few 2D mario games I've played. LOVED it on the GBA as a kid, and it holds up quite well as an adult.
