I never got good at fighting games, but 10 year old me got to play as Link in a fighting game and I thought that was cool as hell.
The campaign forcing you to do different challenges while winning was a cool concept, and if it was ever brought back I think it'd be a nice way to merge training mode with a main campaign.

Honestly one of the better titles. It's standalone and the 2 different routes give some incentive to replay and see what you missed before. Seth is by far the greatest and strongest unit to ever exist in these games, so use him as a crutch when you can. That aside it's just all around very well built as a game.
Fire Emblem Awakening and its consequences have been disastrous for the franchise.
On a more serious note, this game isn't bad, and it helped save the franchise, but it also popularized the dating sim elements that have latched onto the franchise ever since. The story is so-so, filled with a ton of references to past games and with mostly easy gameplay and a boilerplate story. Has some okay replayability and DLC, but I'd hardly put it in my top 5 titles even when including stuff that came out after.

Reused plot regarding the Royal Knights makes part of the story feel uninspired. Some translation issues exist, in addition to there being a level cap stat that pads out your grinding. All these issues aside this is probably the cleanest Digimon title released, which admittedly is a bit of a low bar.
One of the better 3rd versions in the franchise. A few of the pokemon are shifted around so you can get some stuff a bit earlier. Some more story is added than regular Gold or Silver, and a couple new features. It still carries issues found in gen 2 such as several Johto pokemon not being in Johto, and the map opening up too much past the 3rd gym to give a better level curve. That aside is pretty fun.
