Why is this game so short. It's so good.

This was such a painful experience. The absolute dreadful state of what an amazing franchise once was hurts me so much. This is a stinker, don't touch it with even with a 12 parsec stick.

I played this game back in the day when it released. I was going to write a review based on what I remember, giving it a 4.5, but I said: "Why not play it again to have a better understanding and experience with it" with the whole purpose of giving you a better review. And oh boy oh boy... I'm afraid it's peak.

I can see some backtracking being annoying, specially if you forget what to do or play it across various sessions. But my only criticism with this game would be that I want it to last 100 hours if possible. It's just so good. I went for the 100% then Pirate Mode, and the game didn't disappoint at any point.

But being relatively short has its perks, like bombarding you with new areas, new characters, and of course, new SONGS. I'm not kidding when I tell you that the music in this game can't be recreated no matter the mastermind you give that task. This is a our universe only kind of experience.

The story is kinda there to guide you through the levels, it's nothing serious much less a masterpiece of storytelling, and the game doesn't try to be like that either, it's just fun.

The gauntlet at the end where you apply everything you acquired during the game was really cute, I liked it.

And I want to leave it at that to recommend you to give it a try, it's lighthearted and funny, not consuming at all in any aspect, you are leaving with some good OST to listen later, and a good game to remember.

The freedom you have in combat is so good it should be enough reason for you to try it, but on top of that it has really good music, design and animations are cool (specially for you, yes you mr. goonman). The story is decent, the characters are fun and funny, which I value a lot.

I don't know if this is the correct version, but I've completed Rayman 2: The Great Escape on the ps1 multiple time, one not long ago even.

I have a couple things to say about this game. Bear with me a little bit while I try to be as genuine and transparent as possible. Ok, here I go:

THIS GAME IS THE INSPIRATION FOR THE VERY LIFE YOU ARE LIVING. EVERY GAME SPROUTED FROM HERE, EVEN RAYMAN 1 COPIED RAYMAN 2. WHOEVER WAS THE CREATOR OF THIS REALITY, THEY DID IT WITH THE SOLE PURPOSE OF YOU EXPERIENCING RAYMAN 2. THERE IS NO MEANING BEYOND FEEBLE AND FUTILE EFFORST TO TRY AND RUN AWAY. AS THE FIRSTBORN GAME OF OUR EXISTENCE YOU WILL SEE ITS IMMENSE INFLUENCE OVER GAMING, POLITICS, ECONOMY, ARCHITECTURE, SOCIAL INTERACTION, AND I COULD KEEP LISTING THEM FOR ALL ETERNITY. IT WILL REMAIN AND PASS THE TEST OF TIME. WHEN THE UNIVERSE COME TO AN END, HEAT DEATH, RAYMAN 2 WILL PREVAIL.

WHEN EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE ELSE FAILS YOU, RAYMAN 2 WILL ENLIGHTEN YOU, ACCOMPANY YOU, AND PROTECT YOUR BRITTLE STEPS THROUGH THE ROCKY PATH CALLED LIFE.

There's only one thing left for you to do: PLAY IT. NOW.

Sit back and relax cause this game is one of them old rts gems you wanna see til the end. If you enjoy campaigns, pick a nation and go conquer the world, show all your military and economic power (among other things).

This game is pretty based, if you always wanted to show absolute supremacy to dominate the world by trading, making treaties, conquering, with idk Egypt, you totally can. And you will feel good about it later.

I will be biased as always. And with that said: I fw it.

The music is nice in its own way, a different and "older" approach to a Shantae vision I don't dislike tbh. Chiptune-esque upbeat vibes, it is a good OST I guess people don't like it that much cause it is Shantae and they kinda had like a groove going forward with previous games.

The gameplay? it's all there. The map feels more "closed" but I remember getting lost quite a bit, it is pretty weird. But I'll be generous with the rating, I do believe it's a good game.

I actually enjoyed it quite much. I just hits really good for me. I like the movement through out the very experimental levels, might be just cause of Dixie, idk but it is fun. Nuts and Bolts have to be one of my favorite factory-like songs ever, and even though not every song is a masterpiece it has some amazing ones worth listening to.

The world map could be a lil confusing? the mission style gameplay of opening areas can be good and bad. I don't care too much cause I already know what to do but I can see newer players finding it tedious.

I'll miss the fluidity of sprites dancing while you fuck up your combos and mald over hard cancel windows, feints, and breaks. So majestic...

I don't like the new art style of City of the Wolves or whatever, but please don't mess the gameplay up.

This games achieves a level of greatness by capturing the essence and charm that made you fall in love with Mega Man X and slapping its personality, style, and story on top. It radiates good platformer era vibes. It screams good movement and freedom. And for me, the most important thing, the OST is really good.

It does a really nice job differentiating itself enough to not be a copy, while making you feel right at home.

I wish this game lasted for ever. I'm begging you to go support the dev and give this masterpiece a try.

I kneel.

Very solid coop experience. Funny and infuriating in harder difficulties. But treat yourself to some beer and bust some moves on the dance floor, I'm sure that will make you feel better.

Rock and Stone!

The character creation is so deep. So much customization I basically have at least 15 hours just creating characters.

Oh and the game?, it's aight I guess.

The schizo is hitting hard, brother...

This review includes the Iceborn dlc.

I enjoyed it. Solo. I was running like a headless chicken at first, and by refusing to use items and just wielding my bard ass guitar-mace-axe-didgeridoo thingy I actually started to have fun so much I couldn't put it down. I will be doing more playthroughs in the future with other weapons... Maybe. But it is worth grabbing.

It is not a perfect score cause it has some really pesky details that quality of life mods fix, but since the mods make it better and the base game still doesn't fix them, it's a 4/5.
