for whatever reason skyrim vr has the player just be disembodied hands unless you straight up mod the game, though i'm sure there are plenty of other vr games that do the same thing

much more minor example but the world ends with you has a countdown timer appear on each ingame player's hands once every day with an inexplicable tinge of pain/discomfort, and as a result those hand-timers get shown onscreen a ton
