really hurt by the lack of budget and time (for example, the lack of english translations for new songs), and there are a lot of glaring omissions. ALSO, skill stars are a stupid addition, and are SO annoying to grind out.
BUT... it's still rhythm heaven, and the core gameplay is soooo fun, and the aesthetic of it is so charming, i love it. just wish it couldve been given the time and budget it deserved, especially since we likely wont ever get another rh game :(

theres so much about this game i absolutely adore. the game's aesthetic and sense of humour is so bizarre but it works perfectly, and the potential scenarios between what will likely be a mix of yourself, lovecraftian abominations, and peter griffin can be fucking hilarious.
i just wish there was a bit more variety. after unlocking quality of life, theres basically zero new mechanics, and its more of the same. i suppose your objective is then maxing out QoL, and getting lvl 99 on miis, but thats just a buncha grinding.

i believe this was the 2nd game i ever played, and what a banger to play so early on in my life. i may have more of a personal bias for the original, but this is a STELLAR remake. around 30 new stars, minigames, multiplayer, multiple characters, etc. also i still have fond memories of all the rumours of waluigi being behind that DAMN white door in the character select room (this was always the better version of l is real, fight me)
i accept that its not for me but this is such a snooooore, such a waste of £50. i appreciate what it does but it's just hard to put any commitment into it

incredible gameplay, incredible progression, incredible sprites and textures, incredible balancing, incredible music, just an incredible game overall. the gradual ramp up from being incredibly weak and not being able to kill just about anything to being a practically unkillable god is incredibly rewarding

perfect sequel to toree 3d. its literally just more toree, and i couldn't ask for anything more. BUT, theres also some coolio additional content, which bumps this to a 4.5 :3

this was the first game i ever played. i love it so much, everything about it is just so lovely :33 the crunchy ds graphics, the controls, the music, the levels, the minigames that were stolen from sm64ds but shhh. i just love everything about it
