Resident Evil, Ranked

Mainline games and their remakes only, for now.

Absolutely no contest.
One of the only remakes I can think of that comprehensively improves upon the original without losing its spirit.
Another remake that, in my opinion, at least, eclipses the original. But this one's close to a toss-up because it's so purposefully different.
A cool expansion of the original idea, but a little something was lost in growing the scope.
A shockingly good reboot. I honestly didn't think they had it in them.
The RE5 to RE7's RE4, the RE3 to RE7's RE2.
A slightly disappointing, action-focused follow-up that has always seemed kind of superfluous to me.
Still perfectly playable and gripping. It was a big deal for a reason.
Still good, but getting a little too wacky.
Hugely disappointing. It could have been RE3's time to step out from 2's shadow, but they punted.
Passable, but that's about it.
A shaky-at-best attempt to graft co-op and series lore onto the runaway success that was RE4.
My current pick for worst game ever made -- not kidding! A historic disaster.

Revelations and 0 are too high.
