For a long time I considered this my favorite game. FPS with innovative mechanics that STILL haven't been replicated or improved upon and some fun first person puzzles and platforming to go along with it.

This is the pinnacle of Halo as far as I am concerned. Singleplayer and multiplayer FPS absolutely perfected. At the time this came out, I had read every Halo novel and had tons of Halo merch and bought the collector's edition which came inside a Master Chief replica helmet. And it still managed to exceed my every expectation!

16 player original Xbox lan parties were some of the most fun I have ever had in my entire life.

A giant leap downward for the series. Enemy design was mostly terrible. Plot was dumb. Graphics didn't look that great for the time. New mechanics were a step backwards. Super disappointing.

Not really my thing but I loved Halo at the time so I played through it. Plot was fun and it was well executed for a console strategy game.

Excellent detective game. You can play through the whole thing in a evening. I played through it with my wife and we had a blast.

So excellent I spent some time developing my own puzzle game inspired by this game.

So underrated. It is ugly and runs crappy even on modern machines but the puzzles are SO GOOD it just doesn't matter.

Not at all my style of game but the mechanics and boss fights and story and style are so fun that I love it anyways.

I basically made a pure dark side "mage" style character and then the final boss was immune to the fucking force?!?

Beautiful and fun. Puzzles were never too hard but stayed interesting throughout. First person puzzle is my favorite genre and this one did not disappoint.

Started off really strong with an interesting narrative and a fun gameplay idea. Just executed terribly. I found the puzzles were either totally obvious or practically impossible to figure out. Many of the puzzles were an exercise in "what in this scene can I interact with" trial and error rather than actually intuiting anything. Things that looked gameplay significant were often decorations and vice versa.

The perfect stealth game. Metal Gear Who? Splinter What? This game makes every room of every level into an intriguing stealth puzzle. Cannot recommend highly enough, especially to 2d puzzle platformer enthusiasts since that is secretly really what this is.
