GAMER MARCH MADNESS DAY 3 - SHINOBI III
I've been meaning to play Shinobi III for a while now, and it's pretty good for a 93 Genesis title. I liked the varied moveset I had, and the level design was much better than I expected. The game does gets pretty tough around the end though. the final boss made me shit my pants.

GAMER MARCH MADNESS DAY 2 - MONOLITH
Another fun roguelite that I could see myself playing for like 50 hours. When it comes to this genre, I value good mechanics and lack of dependence on RNG (which is why I quit playing Isaac and Gungeon) ,and Monolith fills these quotas nicely. The game is hard as shit though, especially since I suck ass at shmups.
In my 5ish hours of playing I've made it to stage 6 a couple of times, peaking at phase 3 of the boss. I'm gonna look forward to playing further in the future, I can tell the game has quite a bit more in store for me.

Doing a thing where I play one new (to me) game or more every day for all of march. Good thing I don't have a cringe title for such an event lol
GAMER MARCH MADNESS DAY 1 - SUPERHOT
I came into this game knowing that I would already like it. It's hard not to know about SUPERHOT and the core mechanic of the game itself, and it's even harder to not immediately make a judgement on if you will enjoy said mechanic at all. For me, this shit is like crack. It's so sick. You feel so cool once everything flows together, the devs really struck gold with the concept. When I got to the HOTSWAP mechanic I audibly gasped and metaphorically shit my pants; an excellent addition to the gameplay that kept it fresh, when it was still fresh.
I do still have some personal gripes though. I did not at all care for the story or how it was trying to like, scare me or whatever? I would've enjoyed the game just as much as if it was a straight up open-and-shut level pack with some credits at the end. I did like what they were going for with the core level though (even if, embarrassingly, I kept killing endlessly respawning mooks for like 15 mins on one life because I thought I could defy the system, then afterwards giving up and hotswapping into the core anyway).
In my playthrough I completed the main story, and still have the challenges and endless mode to look forward to. Overall I was, as expected, impressed with SUPERHOT, and it's definitely a title I'll be revisiting some time soon, as well as MIND CONTROL DELETE as well. they should totally make a level editor it's free money come on it'd be so cool

Wow! 60 dollars! That's a lot of money for such a presumably small game. How's about you pirate it? Get it for free? In fact, how about you stop giving a dogshit company like Nintendo any money at all and pirate every Nintendo game you want to play? huh?????? huh????? ever think of that huh
1: grindy, bullshit, escort mission fuck, piss, why can you fail missions when you get a game over what the motherfuck
2: I forgot lol
3: kino. absolutely based. the peak of the megaman franchise
4: it's 3 but not as good, but still good
collection: does fucking nothing to add anything at all barring an "ez mode" where you marathon all games back to back. dont care
overall: fun! skip zero 1 and maybe 2 if you aren't feeling it tbh
