There is a lot in this game that confuses me. Sanctuary was souls-like and this is monsterhunter-like????

Sanctuary was carried by being a split screen souls-like, and while Sacrifice still has that, it feels less suited somehow. Still fun with a good friend, but the hunt -> make stuff -> hunt loop was already a social game. It felt more novel and interesting when we had to reach "bonfires" instead of grinding bosses with a friend.

Toward the endgame the difficulty increases only due to mage/enemy health which was annoying. Certain mages have dumb fights that are either a pushover, or you can loose for no reason.

Kundry Khan is the goat tho.

Kirby Planet Robobot is one of my favorite Kirby games of all time.
While a Kirby game is always somewhat similar to the rest, the Robobot was a lot of fun as it has it's own set of copy abilities too which are cool to explore. Robobot stands out with it's music and style compared to the other games.

I paid $15 for this game, but would pay double. At full price??? Not sure any Kirby game is worth it, but Robobot has since been so discounted it shouldn't be hard to find.
A gem of a DS game, and the OST will always have a special place in my heart.

Very odd Paper Mario game. I have a personal theory that if this were considered more a spin off than a main title, it would be rated much higher.
Super Paper Mario to Paper Mario's before is apples to oranges.
SPM's "combat" isn't really there, the game plays as a 2D Mario platformer with RPG elements, which is probably the games weakest point.

That being said I love this game, I highly reccomend people at least watch someone play for the story this game has. Banging OST, memorable characters, and compelling story makes me reccomend it to any Toby Fox fans. Just be aware that it isn't a turn based RPG like the other Paper Mario masterpieces.

Play it, hate it, stop playing.

Then go back and play it again and love it.

It's fun because it's different.
Kirby's "stylus only because remember the DS has that" game.
Also that odd type of game where finishing requires all/most of the collectables (tho this isn't rare for Kirby I guess)

Main gameplay is cool and all but those side games cheffs kiss better than some main game levels. Especially "Strongest Sword" if only for the music

Hear me out...

This game should be prescribed for hypertension, anxiety, and anyone who wants to destress in general.

Trust...

My mom plays this game to this day.
One of if not the best mobile game to ever grace our phones.

Not that mechanically polished. Story is vague. Progression busted. Spikes in difficulty.

BUT IT'S A SPLIT SCREEN SOULS LIKE (and maybe one of the very first??)
Playing this with the right person makes the flaws easy to gloss over.

DM DOKURO cooked up major heat for this OST

This game was in the line of fire for a recent Metroid craze.
It can best be summarized as: Metroid + (any 2D souls-like)

B E A U T I F U L art and music in this game.

This game isn't the easiest to figure out, and suffers the common Castletroid problems of back tracking, and looking up guides when I missed a small breakable wall.
That being said it's not the longest game either so it only occured once or twice.
Story wise I can't say I loved it, only because the story continually awed me with concepts and questions that I wanted to explore, only to never really have the opporunity. I want to care about these characters, but story just kinds ends....

Maybe the true ending is worth replaying it for.

Best Kirby game in decades.
The series feels like it's moving somewhere at last, even if it's still Kirby in most ways, FL brings a lot of fresh air into a clinically unchaning series by simply changing the perspective and moving away from side scrolling only. It's been since maybe 2007 that Kirby walked on a Z axis.

It's a new favorite alongside Super Star Ultra and Robobot, the only thing that I holds it back substantially is the multiplayer. Kirby isn't known for the multiplayer, but I have always enjoyed the split screen and Star Allies made a fun date night game. FL split screen is lazy, P2 can only be waddle dee, and after the variety in Star Allies and SSU this kinda sucked. That's the only reason Forgotten Land stays a tier bellow the best Kirby games.

It was so fun until it became a clunkier Far Cry, not sure if i'll continue playing
