I wish I liked this game more. It has the best combat in the series and has a super cool premise for its plot, but it just falls flat. The debt cripples the pacing pretty damn well, but even without that, the first half of the game feels super dry as it takes longer than necessary to give you your old party members back and nothing interesting happens while it does that. The alternate universes premise is super interesting, as is the fact that you're wiping them out, but the game doesn't do nearly enough with this as a moral quandary or as a storytelling device. I can think of a ton of AUs that they could've written in that would've been more interesting than some of the ones they kept. The villain was incredibly lame unlike in the last game. Though I will say that the bad ending was peak fiction.
I see why people love this game, but I can't bring myself to do it.

God I wish this shit was playable without mods, would easily be my favorite western RPG if it was. Incredibly strong atmosphere and worldbuilding throughout the whole thing, and manages to have very memorable NPCs on all sides of the conflict. It also lets you pick a route with no faction, which is an incredibly raw thing that more games should do.

It's an enjoyable platformer, though as much as it hurts to say, I don't really see the quality that a statement like "It took 9 years to make this" promises.

The cast definitely carries this game, but that's not a bad thing. Worldbuilding and combat are also pretty good. Gaius is a super strong villain as well, one of the best in the series.

Has a very strong atmosphere. Nothing else to really write home about, honestly, but I enjoyed the game.

Super solid game. Amazing platforming mechanics and level design, and the story and themes of the game are also very inspiring. It's nice playing a rage game that doesn't antagonize the player

This game is the perfect example of quality over quantity. The whole thing takes place in one small town and stars a small cast of only 4 characters from start to finish, but by the end of the game you are incredibly attached to Crossbell and the SSS. I look forward to going back when Geofront finishes their translation of Azure.

Still a great game but the disjointed way of storytelling through optional scenes and the fact that 90% of the game takes place in a new setting (without any towns) made it less enjoyable than previous games. Kevin goated though

Really good game! Slow pacing does not equal bad pacing and this game is an excellent example of that. Really good characters and worldbuilding carry this game but the combat and soundtrack are also very nice.

Literally my favorite game of all time
