Short but sweet, Titanfall 2's story is just interesting enough to keep you engaged through it's massively more thrilling sandbox and mission design.

The multiplayer is beyond addictive with it's latest Steam release, and I found myself spending hours into the game's opening time trial mode attempting to master the movement.

I accidentally got pranked into buying another metroidvania. this one is good because it has cool girls and D E E P L O R E with pretty graphics and neat puzzles.

My complaints are few, but really detract from the fun.
Grinding world of light to unlock the full gargantuan roster is more of a chore than anything fun, the UI is not great, particularly the bafflingly organized-by-induction-order character select, and the barely functional online.

Mirror's Edge is simply one of the most unique and refreshing games I've played. It's too bad they never made a sequel.

Life is Strange suffers from some unevenly paced episodes, awkward dialogue to begin, and a handful of puzzles that overstay their welcome - Impressively, this does little to diminish it's excellent presentation and moments of brilliance in effective story telling in ways truly unique to the medium of video games. Life is Strange is not perfect, but it is absolutely an achievement. Hella shitballs cereal

This game is probably the best thing to come out of The Oregon Trail.

A considered yet unrelently intense depiction of Psycosis, the production value and restraint of Hellblade given the developer behind it is incredibly impressive - An achievement in the medium, it's almost unfortunate in some way that Hellblade is unique.

Puzzle-solving and combat are only as in depth as they need to be, a restraint i'm glad for - DMC, Arkham, or Souls-like combat would only lessen the efficacy of the whole point of this game.

Cuphead is a masterpiece on all levels: Art, Animation, Sound, and Design. Studio MDHR's debut is unparalleled, unforgettable, and unlikely to ever be matched by further genre entries; An achievement that you'll have to play to believe.

Mass Effect 2 manages to be both a meathead stupid hollywood action movie, while also being a perfect sequel.

The Messenger is the most masterfully crafted throwback platformer-action I've ever played. If I was Yoda, I could still count all of my gripes with the game on one hand. There are so many cool moments, so many fantastic twists and turns, that playing this game blind is the absolute best way to experience it. Completed to 100% on single playthrough.

Doom is pure, distilled, fun. Fueled by video game composer Mick Gordon, this reboot takes queues from the original game, Quake, and Halo to whip up one of the best, if not the best, first person shooter campaigns, period.

Long load times, and a handful of unfun enemy types sully an otherwise near perfect experience. Played on Ultra-Violence.

I wish this game had some more depth here and there, some better writing here and there, but ultimately everything comes together to paint an interactive and highly immersive world, worts and all.

2017

Excruciatingly intricate world-building, A highly engrossing plot, Unusually open-ended, and with a surprising soundtrack. Thanks to Impactful, on-the-fly, and emotionally charged decision making through gameplay, Prey simply deserves your attention, perhaps through more than a single playthrough.

One of the greatest and influential tactical RPGS in gaming - Satisfying combat, eerie atmosphere, and simple presentation make XCOM: Enemy Unknown a must-try, even for those with no experience in the genre.
