A clever and fun little game. The controls were a little bit wonky at times and that coupled with the many little unskippable Luigi character animations made for some frustrations. I liked it but definitely felt ready to be done. But I’m happy for Luigi.

Really short. Janky controls when climbing. They make you stay in place while fighting, feels unnatural. Game looks nice for a Quest game, voice acting is good.

A lot to love in this game, but I would have preferred more attention to the story campaign and levels over the open world. The open world stuff is IMMENSE and they tried valiantly to keep it feeling fresh, but it became such a huge chore. This game was also buggy as all hell, at least on Switch. Very frustrating controls at times, too, especially when trying to make accurate jumps. But a lot of it was fun, it all looked very good for what it was, the voice acting was pretty great, and it all had that trademark goofy LEGO humor. Not mad about playing through it, but not the best game out there, no surprises there.
