A true classic of a game. Devil May Cry is the foundation for the idea of every modern "character action" video game. A tight combat system that at surface level is basic, but still fun to interact with. But with advanced mechanics, the combat system opens up, allowing players to push the skill ceiling and take advantage of what the game can offer to the player in terms of movement and combos. The gothic setting is quite unsettling, there were parts of the game where I felt creeped out due to the dark surroundings, the classical music that plays while roaming around the castle brings an ambience that is unique to this game. The soundtrack is very solid, so many iconic tracks that make each battle feel unique and match the enemies you are fighting. It also can enhance the environment with the tracks that play while not fighting enemies. Everyone already knows this at this point, but due to the game being a scrapped version of Resident Evil 4, there are elements of the classic Resident Evil formula present throughout the game. That being said, it usually just entails picking up an item from one portion of the level and bringing it back to a location. Puzzles are very basic and only serve as minor obstacles to pad out mission time. The big flaws in this game stem from the camera. Due to this being a former version of Resident Evil 4, the set camera angles are present. But the game doesn't have the tank controls that Resident Evil has, so it makes running around the castle awkward and clunky, the camera doesn't want to behave properly in tighter areas and in boss fights. Jank? Absolutely. A loose lock on system in this game also makes fighting awkward at times, most notably during the Nightmare fights. The platforming is really bad and is the one thing in this game that can be thrown away and wouldn't negatively impact the game. That being said however, it is still a pretty good game and is a game that I recommend everyone tries at least once as a way to dive into the hack and slash genre.

A good return to the classic Resident Evil formula. Not quite as good as the highs of the series, but still a pretty good game. This game was always creepy, you never had a sense of safety anywhere around the Baker Mansion or the ship. The mold enemies were pretty cool and they always found a way to creep up behind me and jumpscare me. This game however, feels like filler in the series. It feels like a game that was churned out and is a test to see if the old formula is successful. Thankfully, it is, and Resident Evil is back to being enjoyable again. Solid game, now onto Resident Evil 8.

What a complete waste of a game. This can't even be considered a decent action game, because they somehow managed to get that part wrong. Ok to start things off, yes this isn't a Resident Evil game. I am not going to say that's what makes the game bad because everyone knows that already and has been beat to death. Now apart from this just being a generic Gears of War clone, this has got to be the game with the worst control and movement of a character in an action game during the 2010s. The sprinting seems like you are trying to run with a bike on your side. The menu fucking sucks, it is so unnecessarily stupid for the sake of being different. I have no idea why they thought that it was necessary to do that. Weapon diversity and sandbox is a shell of its former self. It is so devoid of what made Resident Evil 4 and 5's sandbox so fun to explore and experiment with. The gun-laser sight seems off from the sharpness of Resident Evil 4 and 5 but I can't say with certainty if that is a legitimate claim or not. The enemies are bullet sponges and annoying to fight. You would go from 2-man doors to cutscene, walk 20 seconds, 2 man door and repeat. The story is batshit insane and is very hard to follow due to the campaign structure, that is saying something for a Resident Evil game. The side characters are forgettable or so corny that you remember them in the wrong way. Soundtrack is basically non-existent. I can't remember a single track from the game let alone one I enjoyed. This game sucks and I can't find anything that I enjoyed in this game. I can't even enjoy it ironically because the game just sucks the enjoyment out of you and it leaves you mentally drained after every mission. I have never felt as unsatisfied for beating a game as I did with this one.

I don't need screenshots. I don't need demos. I don't need footage. I don't need a release date. I don't need a summary. I don't need any kind of information. I already know this game is the rawest game to ever drop this decade from the trailer alone.

The PC port of this game is horrible. I could not get the game to save for me no matter what I did. Game crashed multiple times, but the game itself ran fine with no graphical bugs or noticable gameplay bugs. Please play this game on any console rather than PC however.

This is just Action Movie: The Game. It is hard to classify this as a Resident Evil because besides the name of the game and the characters, it is just a generic action-shooter. That being said, it was enjoyable. I played this in co-op and I think this is the definitive way to play the game due to the partner AI being poor. It felt shorter compared to other Resident Evil games but that is okay due to the nature of the game. Wesker being back is awesome, I love his character. His boss fight theme is incredible, so catchy. This being the last game Jill has appeared in so far his quite a shame however. Gunplay was fine, nothing felt super fun to use but no weapon ever felt useless. I do like the setting of the game, many of the set pieces were fun to experience and look at. Overall, an underrated game, but nothing too special. I would recommend this game to people looking for a fun co-op game to play.

Here it is, Game Journalism: The Game. This game was worth the development hell that Capcom went through to make this game. It is definitely not a scary game, however it can get very tense and stressful due to the somewhat awkward controls and not being able to move while shooting. Settings are really good, soundtrack is great once again in the Resident Evil franchise, enemies are fun to fight and the game has a satisfying gameplay loop. Puzzles are scaled back but boss fights are scaled up in result. Most of the boss fights are fun and enjoyable to play. Leon is a badass, doing kicks and suplexes are fun as hell and even though they are basic, it is still fun to kick the shit out of some Ganados and Zealots. Leon is also super campy but it has a real good charm to it and it makes him the character that is loved by many today. A very worthwhile experience that everyone should try at least once in their life.

This review is purely for the PC port of the game. It looks good, however it has many issues. It crashed numerous times, screenshots would slow down the game ever so slightly. I even broke the game and got this glitch: https://imgur.com/a/rNGVm8y

Overall, another horrible pc port from Capcom.

Unfortunately, this game for me is the worst of the original trilogy of Resident Evil games on the PlayStation. It truly feels like a spinoff side game that was converted over to a main line entry with the bare minimum substance. It has its moments but if it weren't for Nemesis, this game would have been quite boring. I understand that they were trying to capture the chaotic nature of a burning, apocalyptic city run down by zombies, however it really isn't executed well and it just becomes a pretty linear, claustrophobic experience. Action is good, about as good as Resident Evil 2 in terms of core mechanics, but due to the map design in Resident Evil 2, it feels better in Resident Evil 2 than it does here. Nemesis is the best aspect of this game by far. If Nemesis wasn't in this game it would have been a far worse game. Nemesis is infinitely more threatening than Mr. X in Resident Evil 2 as he can tank through just about anything you throw at him. He is a great challenge and makes this game so much more terrifying. "Starssss" will forever be stuck in my head. His design is so raw and his intelligence makes him such a terrifying creation. The rest of the game is your typical Resident Evil game, good soundtrack and questionable voice acting. Wish the remake would have improved upon this game but unfortunately it ends up somehow being worse than this game. Overall, not a bad game but a disappointing end to the original trilogy.

This is a really good sequel to the original. Solid soundtrack, gameplay and action. Just like with Resident Evil 1 however, the remake overshadows the original in so many aspects. It is still worth playing as it differs from the remake in some areas, however I will say the remake is my recommended choice for people first playing.

This is how you make a modernized version of an old game. The gameplay is PHENOMENAL, it has never been so fun to blow the brains out of zombies. Every weapon is balanced in its own regard with ammo availability, weapon strength, time to kill etc. The graphics are stunning and the environment of an apocalyptic Raccoon City is mesmerizing to look at. The map is intricate and serves as a great adaptation of the original. I love how even though it is more action orientated, you still aren't invincible and need to use your resources with care otherwise you will struggle in the later parts of the game. Mr. X is an absolute nightmare with how his AI works, you will never feel safe as he is constantly lurking around in hopes to surprise you. Simply brilliant design by Capcom. The boss fights are really enjoyable which is something that I cannot say for every TPS. I hope Resident Evil 3 (the original not the remake cause it sucks) will be able to live up to the bar set by the Resident Evil 1 and 2 remakes.

This game served its purpose at the time and revolutionized not only the survival horror genre but video games as a whole. That being said, it hasn't aged well in some areas (voice acting and soundtrack are awful lol) and the remake outclasses it in every aspect; so this game is really only worth playing for the novelty. However, today it's a decent game to playthrough.

This is the best introduction to the survival horror genre. Let me give some background to me, I am a complete pussy when it comes to the horror genre and I absolutely loved this game. I played through this game as Jill, which makes the game easier as she can carry more items than Chris. It instills a perfect feeling of terror and isolation with its atmosphere and level design. The puzzles are tricky and will require a walkthrough sometimes but are fun and intriguing. Jumpscares work because they aren't just instant deaths and give you a chance to defend yourself, which makes it more terrifying in my opinion. Enemies are fun to fight and have awesome designs. I absolutely love all of the lore and facts I learned about the Spencer Mansion throughout the playthrough. The soundtrack isn't your typical soundtrack as it serves more for the atmosphere. The save room is an awesome song and was stuck in my head the entire playthrough. The characters are very cool and create a feeling of a team exploring something new and terrifying together. This game has a learning curve but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a very fun game to play. Cannot wait to scream my lungs out while playing Resident Evil 2.

Brockworth Court is a Tudor house in the village of Brockworth, Gloucestershire, England. It is a Grade II* listed building.[1]

House
The original house was granted to Llanthony Secunda Priory in the 12th Century and remained as a Priors residence until the dissolution of the monasteries in 1540 when it was granted to the Guise family by Henry VIII. It was altered and extended in the 18th and 19th centuries.[1] There is also a tithe barn dating from pre-Tudor times. Henry VIII and his second wife Anne Boleyn are noted as having visited in August 1535.[2]

Brockworth Court was inhabited by John Guise, the new Lord of the Manor, in 1540. Brockworth Court Tithe Barn was built in about the 13th century, with its size indicative the wealth of the Lord of the Manor at the time, Llanthony Priory.[3]

The Tithe Barn was almost completely destroyed by fire in 1996 and rebuilt using traditional materials and methods. The restoration work was granted an award by the CPRE. The Tithebarn hosts a number of wedding celebrations and the gardens for photographs. The gardens are also open on certain days for the NGS.

Brockworth Court Tithe Barn
Nearby Brockworth Mill and Mill Farm were situated at the intersection of Mill Lane and Horsbere Brook. The Domesday Book records a corn mill in Brockworth. When the Witcombe reservoir was built in 1863 the mill stopped working and fell into neglect.[3]

Gardens
The gardens at Brockworth Court are part of the National Gardens Scheme and are open to the public on selected days in May, June and September. There is an admission charge and home-made teas are available in the tithe barn. A tour of the house is available for groups of ten or more.[4]
