Got it for free on PS Plus

A decent game that resembles Gmod's murder game or TTT or some other games in this genre (Among Us).
The game doesn't feature a tutorial which is quite troubling because there are some mechanics that are confusing upon first experiencing. Bottom line this game really needs a tutorial.

A bug I noticed if a player leaves in the hub area before the game actually begins, the lobby will break. The game overall just seems unpolished.

The game also suffers if people don't use their mics, like it is WAY more fun and interesting if everyone is talking, if no one talks the synths usually win. Seriously people the PS5 controller literally has a built in mic you have no excuses now.

The game itself is alright, I think it has an odd aesthetic but it's ok. I think there is also some big balancing issues, the game is very much so synth-sided. As a human, you need all of your fellow humans to be competent to even have a chance at winning, which in random matchmaking, is unlikely. They need to buff the humans quite a bit.

I really enjoyed the physics and always love when games have VOIP, and the concepts at hand are pretty interesting. I think the gas may go down a bit too fast though, further making it too hard for the humans.
If possible, play this game with friends, use voice chat, and hope for the best. I had a lot of funny moments and had an overall enjoyable time, but this game simply will not last, so play it while you can I guess.

I predict this game will be completely dead within a year, if not sooner.

2017

This is a good, fun game, but just low on content.

I don't understand why Nintendo seemingly gave up on so much potential this easily.

The gameplay falls under easy to play, hard to master. High skilled matchups can get really intense and are just a blast to play.

The characters are all bristling with personality and charm, there's distinct levels, I mean everything in this game is good. But the problem is, there's simply not enough in this game. The lack of diverse characters and different arms to choose leads to the game getting pretty stale after awhile.

A good time, but only for a short time.

An absolutely CLASSIC beat em up, definitely a solid game.

But that's all it is. Level design is nearly non-existent, as you fight the same types of enemies over and over, and the enemy has no AI or anything. Combat just gets dull pretty fast, the humor never lands personally. Just kinda get bored of this game pretty fast, nothing to really keep me engaged.

This is also a MUST PLAY with friends, or else you'll get bored even faster.

Just a solid beat em up that gets dull, nothing much going on for me personally.

As of now, this is the HARDEST game I have ever fully completed.

I haven't finished contra or ninja gaiden yet or whatever, but as of now this is the hardest game I have ever beaten in my life.

It is insanely unforgiving, your timing has to be fucking perfect every single time.

This game has awesome visuals, music, aesthetic, fun movement, everything.

The reason why this is only 4 stars is because some of the difficulty is just old game bullshit, just straight up jank. There are sections that are just bullshit enemy spam and bullshit enemy placement that just comes down to luck sometimes, or extreme knowledge on the game prior to playing it.

The hardest part of the entire game for me was the grim reaper boss, or "Death". Straight up bullshit boss, he's so fucking impossibly hard, and if you get a game over you have to go through the whole level again, and that dreaded hallway. I learned that if you carry the holy water throughout the entire level you can use it to easily get through the hallway and kill "Death", like super low effort. Without this tactic I'm not sure if I would have EVER gotten through that boss, the scythes were just impossible to dodge, especially when they SPAWN ON TOP OF YOU. This is old game jank to the highest degree, and I feel it can be difficult at times for the wrong reasons.

Still, this is a classic NES game with redeeming qualities, and if you love to just subject yourself to pain, give this game a try.

Game sucks.

Starts off pretty fun in the tournament then just becomes a side scroller with bad platforming and nonstop enemy spam. The best way to describe this game is obnoxious.

Multi-player is probably fun but this sucks.

Played this on PS5 in Fidelity mode, Platinum'd it on the second hardest difficulty.

This is a pretty damn good 3D action platformer. On a technical and graphical standpoint, this game is phenomenal, the graphics look so beautiful, and the feeling of instantly going from one area to the next was such a neat feeling, really gives you a sense of "this is next gen". All the controls are very fluid, combat is consistent like 90% of the time, and the camera is solid but could be better.

Now, some issues; Most of the worlds weren't all that interesting for me, like they were just OK in terms of aesthetic, memorability, etc. Though, I can't remember ANY of the planet names cause they're just a bit forgettable. My favorite planet being the Pirate one just cause I like that aesthetic. All the places are very beautiful in their own right, but they just feel somewhat uninspired and lacking creativity. Along with this, the music is completely forgettable, I cannot even think of a single song from this game.

The game got pretty old for me towards the end. The combat most notably gets pretty tiring after awhile. I want to say there's like 5-6 primary enemy types, and you've seen them all like halfway through the game. Idk man combat is just pretty simple, linear, and not all that satisfying. There are some difficulty spikes which were nice, but in general, even if you were to play on the hardest difficulty, the game is easy, but yk this is a modern kids game so what do you expect. Combat is clean, easy to control, but just a bit mind-numbing and dull. The combat in this game gives me a very similar feeling of boredom I get from the combat from Insomniacs Spider-Man. It looks exciting, but it really isn't.

This complaint is entirely personal, as anyone else could disagree. I think the story is boring and lame, all the characters are boring and lame, and none of the humor in this is funny. The story is as generic as one could make for this template of game. Rifts open, characters meet with their counterpart from other rift and all team up and work together in harmony. I mean seriously, the 4 main characters are always just loving eachother and it's just dull. The whole bit between Rivet and Kit just feels like I'm watching a movie made for 8 year olds, was clear that'd be resolved, in-fact, the entire story is extremely predictable. The characters and humor feels borderline corporate, like a modern Disney movie but without the Disney charm.

Despite my complaints, this is a pretty solid game that I'd recommend. It does exactly what it wants and offers an enjoyable experience. It's just an average 3D platformer. Just dull at times, and will likely be forgotten to time, I know I'll certainly forget about this game through the years.

Still though, if you just want a simple fun adventure 3D platformer/shooter game this is a good pick.

I'm a PlayStation fan, I think PS2 is the greatest console of all-time. as "Rift Apart" recently came out, I realized I've never played anything from the ratchet and clank series, so I decided I'll play the originals before I play "Rift Apart".

Seeing as PS2 Ratchet and Clank just didn't run well on my ps2 emulator, my ps2 is kinda broken, not owning a ps3, my only option for playing the game was a PS Vita. Just letting you know cause this may have affected my experience.

The game is just straight up not that fun to play. Combat is fucking clunky as hell and just aged terribly, the platforming is basic and dull. The environments are pretty neat, though it's bogged down by enemies that become repetitive very fast, and the music in this game fucking sucks, it's so bad. I never really liked any of the characters, Ratchet is just kinda weird and rude, while clank is mostly boring.

I feel if I played this as a kid I'd give it a higher review or something, but this game just flat out didn't age well, and it isn't worth checking out in 2021. I got like 3/4ths through the game, and I was just bored and not having any fun with it, so I stopped playing it. I don't like not finishing games but I just didn't want to play this anymore.

Overrated most definitely, people are blinded by nostalgia.

Speaking mainly on the single player campaign, this is a really good game, though it felt short.

While not as good as Cod4 (the best in the series) MW2 ups the ante and has absolutely wild set pieces and missions. It has a lot of memorable moments and is just a blast.

Though I will say, it is not as varied in game play as Cod4 is, it's a lot more consistent with just chaotic gunfights throughout the whole thing. But that's fine, this game makes you feel like you're at worlds end, it wouldn't be fitting to do different segments like Cod4 does.

This one just felt really fast, like much faster than Cod4 or WaW, this one blew by, which is fine as everything here is really good.

Definitely worth playing.

In my opinion, this is the best game in the Assassins Creed series, and will be probably forever.

I think the weakest aspects of this game is the standard Assassins Creed stuff, y'know, trailing missions, swapping back to a modern first person thing, shitty modern story, just a lot of bogged down stuff typical for the series, I mean the intro takes fucking forever to get through.

But the pirate stuff is excellent, despite the pirate genre being very thin, this is up there with Sea of Thieves and Sid Meier's Pirates! The open world is really fun to explore, the combat both Naval and melee is flashy and fun. and the actual pirate story is entertaining.

Bogged down by the series it's in, yet still manages to be an excellent pirate game.

This review is gonna be mainly about the campaign, as I never played multiplayer much, and I was never into zombies, though I have played zombies in this a bit, it's pretty simple and gets boring pretty fast.

So the campaign. It's a good WW2 campaign, putting the player in the shoes of a U.S. Marine on the Pacific Theater, and a Russian soldier on the Eastern Theater. The story is just... y'know, World War 2. There isn't some hidden side story or something.

The characters are all mostly extremely forgettable and have little to no character development or emotion. The only character that will be remembered from this game is Reznov, who is what can be described as a sadistic and almost psychotic Russian Sargent, who you follow in all of the Eastern Theater missions.

I have mixed feelings on the pacing of this game. It is constant and relentless shooting, killing, and just pure warfare. In memory, the only three missions that differentiate themselves from the rest is the First mission with Reznov, where you fight and sneak around at Stalingrad, it feels like a not as good WW2 version of "All Ghilied Up", The tank mission, and the aircraft mission. The aircraft mission is literally just a shooting gallery where you don't even move around, just sometimes click F and move onto the next shooting gallery section. And this is kinda my problem with this campaign, is that it all just feels like one long shooting gallery. Whereas COD 4 each mission was different and the pacing let you breathe, this is just never ending, it feels like the U.S. missions from cod 4 before they got nuked, but it's an entire campaign.

I know I'm complaining a lot, but this is a good game. If you want to play a WW2 shooter campaign, I'd say WAW is one of the better options. But to think that people put this game above COD 4 is just absurd, it is not nearly as good as COD 4. An above average COD campaign, also the music is pretty cool.

A pretty good stealth game, which was excellent for 2002.

It has aged somewhat poorly, the combat is kinda bad, enemies can spot you and shoot you through walls, the lighting is sometimes inconsistent and you can get spotted or shot at despite being completely in the dark, crouched and not moving.

Though frustrating at times, it is still a well made and detailed game, I'd say this has more detail than games in 2021.

The story is also pretty generic and not interesting, your usual Russia/China bad, don't let them nuke the US.

Overall a good game and worth playing if you're into the stealth genre, but to the average gamer I'd say they probably wouldn't enjoy it much. Oh final bit, the PC controls are really weird, and you can't even creak doors on it.

The name of the game tells you exactly what you're in for.

This game, while not perfect, is a masterpiece. I kinda hated the crafting system but it makes sense, and the main story is just kinda in the background and is kinda bare bones, but this is first and foremost an adventure game. And I'd say this is one of the best adventure games ever, possibly the best. I'm not even a Zelda fan, but the pure atmosphere and sense of adventure is phenomenal, it completely immersed me in the world. This game is bustling with creativity and charisma. It oozes charm. Filled with content, so much to explore and discover.

Just a blast. A must play.

My favorite fighting game ever, and I'd like to think it's the best fighting game.

The soundtrack is fucking killer, one of the best.

The game is simplistic yet complex, and I'd say it falls into easy to play hard to master, whereas newer titles just got too complex for someone to just pick up the game and play, and older titles were too simple and just kinda jank. This game is the kino spot. Combos are there, but aren't so ridiculous where someone gets one hit they can branch off and do a fucking humongous combo. Most of the fighters have styles based off of actual martial arts, which is really awesome to see. I'd say like 90% of the cast is interesting and fun to play, the stages are all beautiful too, the fact that this is a ps1 game is always impressive. And with plentiful side games such as Tekken Force and tekken Ball, it's just a masterpiece.

An all time classic that has aged gracefully.

Not my favorite game, as I didn't play it growing up, but I think this might be the best game ever made.

Not exaggerating, this game is a goddamn masterpiece, seriously everyone that plays video games should play this game. Everything about this game is just genius. The level design, the atmosphere, the characters, the dialogue, and that fucking ending. I thought about that ending for weeks and I still think about it often.

Just play it for god sake.

This isn't my favorite smash bros. as I played Brawl a lot growing up, but this is undoubtedly the best Smash game ever made.

This smash outdoes melee 100%, so I don't wanna hear that shit. This feels like the culmination of all the smash games, like this is the grand finale. I cannot think of any ways to top this game, as this has everything, it is the end all smash game. Whether you consider this a party game or a fighting game, it's always a blast to play, online or local. Even when playing with friends who aren't nearly as skilled as me, and I win most of the time, we all still have fun. Win or lose the game is just so entertaining.

Honestly if I didn't have a switch, I'd buy one just to play this game.
