Played on PS5 on hard difficulty

Now, it hurts to give this game a 2/5, but that's just how I feel. This is a beautiful little game and I respect the hell out of the small team that made this, but this just is a meh game.

The presentation is obviously beautiful, it look gorgeous. Everyone already knows that. But, one thing I noticed is that the entire map looks basically the same. I was worried of getting lost considering the entire maps looks like one area. The world is beautiful yet lacks diversity.

Also in terms of open world, there is no open world. This is an EXTREMELY linear game, and that's ok. Just throwing it out there.
There's like basically 4 or 3 zones in the game and they all kinda feel the same.

I was really not a fan of any of the characters in this game. They're all extremely boring and have no charm to them. I really didn't give a fuck about Kena or anyone else cause no one has any personality. Couldn't give two shits about this games story honestly man. Also the voice acting was kinda weird and goofy in some places, but it's ok.

The upgrade system was ok, but there are a handful of upgrades that just felt useless. It gets the job done though.

The puzzles in this game were stupid honestly. There is zero indication on what you even have to do, and it's like a hyper specific little detail that you have to recognize to get through some. And the ones that were easy just felt so fucking easy an ape could do it. I'm just gonna chalk this one up to bad game design.

There's like 3 or 4 main enemy types which get super old super fast, and there's a handful of bosses that all just have way too much health and take way too long to kill to where it just feels like a slog. The game overall is extremely easy up until the final two bosses, then stuff ramps up and it gets difficult. The final boss is like a fucking marathon I swear.

Movement in this game is also kinda annoying when trying to do tight movements or tight platforming, it can be annoying. But the most annoying bit of the movement that was driving me insane is that Kena just gets stuck on every little bit of the ground so its like your character is stuttering in place as you're walking. I haven't seen anyone else talk about this but I swear the ENTIRE game Kena would just get stuck on any terrain and would stutter and bump around when walking. It was so fucking annoying.

I didn't like the combat in this game. I can't decide if the story or the combat is the worst part of this game, but it's one of them. The game heavily punishes you for trying to do any melee combat, so the only way to consistently not get hit in combat is to just sit back with ur bow. Just shoot and run until enemies are dead. Shit is boring as hell. There is just no fun in this combat.

Really hate to shit all over this game as I highly respect the team that made this, but god damn this just isn't a fun game, I didn't like it man. It looks very good and all but yeah actual game play and story sucks. Really sad about it cause I was hyped for this the moment they showed it.

I was on the Playtest of this game, and despite some online issues, the game itself is a lot of fun. Highly anticipating to play some more of this game it's a blast. Please guys look up this game and see if you're interested, gotta support this dev team.

I'll update this review when it comes out but that play test was great man.

I don't even really know what to rate this, kinda ignore the rating ig.

I'm just here to complain about this. Why did they not include the PS3 trilogy on this? they've already been remade and ported to the PS4, so why are we not including them in this? You call it a collection but only include 4 and a little standalone game? kinda a big joke. At least we get Uncharted 4 on PC.

GOD THIS GAME STINKS!

This is the second worst MMA game I've ever played, the title for the worst goes to Supremacy MMA: Unrestricted. This game is just terrible man.

I don't know how to describe the combat to you, but the combat is super janky and is just aids. I mean seriously the game play is just atrocious I don't know how else to say it.

An important flaw is that this game has a health bar. Anyone that has played MMA games knows that MMA games with health bars generally suck. This is because it's not realistic at all and it just doesn't mesh with more grounded fighting.

The roster for this game is laughably small. There's literally only 7 fighters in this game. For a regular fighting game that's fine, but for an MMA game that's terrible. Just goes to show Bellator is lacking in star power. Granted I didn't watch Bellator back when this game came out nor am I a huge bellator fan, but I only recognized 4 fighters out of the 7. There's a character creator but I didn't really look into that. I feel safe in betting it sucked.

Just overall not worth your time. A complete shit show, how such a large organization green-lit this shit is beyond me.

Almost any other MMA game will be better, key word ALMOST. Don't play it.

Played on Nintendo Switch

One day me and two of my friends sat down and we played through this entire game in one sitting. It was a lot of fun obviously as we completed it, but of course playing this game for this long a lot of fatigue sets in.

The cast of characters is so fucking good, I love it. Famous characters from all the biggest action films, all with unique abilities based off of the movie their in, it's dope. Every character being extremely unique is what keeps this game fresh, and mostly every character is good. (Will Smith sucks in this)

The level design is solid, it's a huge plus that characters can dig into every bit of the map, thus we can approach levels from multiple ways, again giving some variety. The map design isn't anything special but yeah, it gets the job done.

I should probably describe the game play. It's just a 2D gunner, but some characters are more melee focused while others have rockets or something. It gets extremely heck-tick, as you die in one hit. Enemies will go crazy, there's explosions and bullets flying everywhere in any battle. This is all amplified by playing with friends, cause them shooting stuff makes more stuff blow up, and it's a whole mess. But it's pretty fun man.

I think this game accomplishes exactly what it wants, it's a really fun game and if you have some friends to play it with it's guaranteed gonna entertain you, though fatigue may set in and you may get bored of it after some time. It's not a revolutionary game by any means, but it does what it wants and rocks it.

Recommended, play it.

This game is fucking dumb

Gang Beast is just a great party game. One of those games you can sit down in person with a couple friends and just have a blast with. We need more of that.

Lots of levels, most unique and most have interesting gimmicks at play that adds variety to game play. Lots of levels I love and a few I hate. pretty good stuff overall.

Customization is really good, now you can make your own character, so everyone can make whatever they want. You can make your dude look as silly as you desire. good stuff.

Now I swear to god despite me winning sometimes I do not understand the combat system at all. Knockouts seem completely random, sometimes my tactics work and other times they fail, I have no idea why either time. The only thing that I understand how it works is the dropkick. Competitively this game would make me lose my mind, but as a silly party game just do your ridiculous moves and try to knock ur friends out. It's a good time.

I don't really know what else to say about this game, it's pretty simple and it does exactly what it wants to do. Lots of fun to be had here, play it.

Played on a PS2 Fat

Now, I am not a racing fan. The only racing games I've really played was Mario Kart and Forza and I'm good at Mario Kart, but I literally couldn't win a race online in Forza. I've hardly played any realistic racing games is what I'm saying, and while I know Gran Turismo is like kinda a mix of simulation and arcade it's realistic for me. Just wanna let you guys know I know very little in this genre.

I really enjoyed this game. I was super frustrated at first, as I couldn't win any races and I didn't understand how literally any of the mechanics worked. But I slowly learned and learned, I started passing the licenses easily and winning races. The learning curve is truly masterful, really feels good to finally understand how to do a sharp turn. It's also notable even after learning how to win, races are still thrilling and fun. I never lost that sense of intensity.

The car selection is huge, especially for a PS1 game. I know the second game is even larger but I haven't played anything else in the series yet. All the cars are cool and feel different. There are like 5 sections of different types of vehicles I think, and each is like a completely different planet. Even changing between cars that are the same type is a noticeable difference. I'm not a car guy at all, but the cars in this game are pretty cool as well. Modding your cars is also a nice feature and adds depth.

I just wanna talk about the soundtrack for a second, the soundtrack is fucking killer. Literally almost every song is fucking great, really makes you wanna race. Even the menu music is super good, and how every dealership has their own unique music, and all of them sound great. I love this soundtrack.

I only played the traditional mode, where you start out with some cash and buy a shitty car, then build your way up through gaining licenses and winning cups. It has a great flow to it and is a lot of simple fun.

The maps were somewhat simple cause y'know, there's only so much they can possibly do, yet somehow each map feels distinct and you'll know every map by heart after some time playing. This game also looks great for a PS1 game, one of the best graphically I've seen.

All in all, Gran Turismo is a legendary racing game and has a lot to offer, it's aged quite well I think and I'd highly recommend it. Play it.

Played it A lot on PS2, played on PSP, Xbox, PC

This game was my shit as a kid, for a long time I considered it my favorite game. I remember I picked it up in a big ass bargain bin at Best Buy, I saw Star Wars and I love Star Wars so I convinced my parents to buy it for me. What a lucky run in that was, cause this is a great game.

Now it's important to know the battlefront series was born from a Battlefield 1942 mod, so yes, this is literally just Battlefield Star Wars. But this combination is genius. Being able to have wars and explore just about everywhere you'd want in the Star Wars universe, play as the four main factions and a bunch of heroes and villains, this game was a Star Wars fans wet dream for a shooter. I'm confident in saying this is still the best Star Wars shooter of all time, sorry Republic Commando fans.

Gun play is pretty good though there's a lack of accuracy to most guns, but it's ok. The sounds, looks, feels, etc. of the weapons are good and fun. The classes are all very unique from each other and each faction having two unique classes each was great. Battlefield could NEVER.

The true savior of this game is the map design. Being able to use Star Wars aesthetics and music instantly makes the games aesthetics good, but the actual level design and ways of incorporating the Star Wars worlds into the level design was genius. It truly felt like you were fighting in the forest of Endor, on the plains of Hoth, etc. Seriously though the Hoth map was one of the coolest experiences ever back then. Everyone rushing to the ships on the Rebel hanger and flying off towards the enemy team was so much fun.

Great game modes like the fan-favorite Galactic Conquest, I personally stuck to Instant Action as a kid and made cool playlists.

I don't really have much else to say. I have so much love for this game. I think I could say this is my favorite multiplayer shooter. Play it.

(See all my Star Wars Rankings and reviews on my profile here, the list is titled "Star Wars Ranked.")

This ain't no LBP or Dreams or anything like that.

Game was terrible and users were heavily restricted on what they could create, lots of monetization too if I remember correctly.

Game stunk man.

Completely forgotten game

I remember this was one of the launch titles and I got it in 2013 at launch. Played it with my family, and uh yeah, it was a disappointment lol. We never had the 360, so we never experienced the sham that was the Kinect, I believe Fighter Within was my true first time playing a Kinect game.

This game has a cast of forgettable characters, forgettable stages, I can't even remember the music or if there even was music.

The actual fighting, the actual game, sucks. And it's not even entirely it's fault, the blame can be placed on the Kinect sucking. Game play devolves into two people standing in front of their tv and swinging their arms around like a psycho. It's just shiet.

This game has been completely forgotten by just about everyone, even mostly me. I wonder if when I'm old I'll somehow see this game and have no fucking idea what it is lol.

The launch of the Xbox One had some ROUGH games man.

Just an exquisite little game. Platinumed on PS5

This game is basically put out as a tech demo that shows off the capabilities of the PS5 controller, which it definitely succeeds in, but the game is actually a full on little 3D plat-former with a lot of nostalgia and love put into it.

as someone else put "It's a love letter to 4 generations of PlayStation." The game is a nice trip down memory lane and has countless references and callbacks to previous PlayStation generations. I mean all the mainline IP's are lovingly reminisced on, even IP's Sony has completely abandoned (Please bring back Twisted Metal guys) I absolutely loved the experience of going through levels and being like "oh that's from [Childhood game]!" and knowing all the references just really flexing my gamer knowledge.

I also extremely enjoyed collecting all the physical PlayStation items, and it was extremely nostalgic to see all the old items perfectly recreated in the game, and when the old music kicks in at the end of levels man it's dopamine.

The graphics look extremely good, very clean and fresh, but charming. Astro is a pretty solid mascot, I'd be fine if Sony continued to use him as a mascot more than just the mascot of demo games. The music is also just solid across the board, really nice stuff here.

The actual game play is really nice, it offers constant switch ups which utilize the PS5 controller and constantly offers fresh and fun game play. The core 3D platforming sections are very clean and well-made, though basic. All around great stuff.

All I'm saying is, if you're a PlayStation fan, you'll absolutely adore this game. If you're new and want to learn about the PS5 controller, this game works in every way. If you're new to PlayStation, this game is like walking through a PlayStation museum but it's very fun. It comes with the PS5, an absolute must-play for anyone that is a fan of PlayStation and gaming as a whole.

Also of note, I believe this was Japan Studio's last game before they got shut down, which was very sad, I always appreciated the unique games they put out. At least they went out with a phenomenal little game. This game was passionately made with heart and soul.

A Super Mid Party

The game is Mario Party. it's serviceable and I've had fun with it with friends. But I bought it for $60, and this game is not worth $60, it's got a lack of content.

A fairly decent character roster, but nothing really exciting or cool, just the standard and expected roster for any Mario related game, and a handful of lesser known or just smaller unique characters, like common enemies are playable, thank god Diddy's here at least. Just a solid plain roster. That's a common theme of this game, everything just seems kinda plain. Though I do enjoy the idea of each character having their own dice, and luckily characters I usually play have good dices lol.

The biggest issue of the entire game comes here: only four boards in the entire game. I mean that is a laughably small amount of boards, the first Mario Party for the Nintendo64 had double that. The maps are solid no doubt, but they seem to lack a certain charm to it, it feels kinda soulless and empty idk why. But the lack of maps is the major issue to this game.

I like a lot of the game modes and they have cool ideas with the joycon but I find myself bored of the games and they get stale relatively fast.

The raft mode is kinda nonsense, most the bonus modes are, but at least it's content right. I guess it is worth this is the first real Mario Party on the go, but who's gonna drop an hour- two hours out and about.

Online play is only available for mini games and not actual games, and it's just like why? it makes no sense really. I feel like a fucking board game would be the easiest game to add online for. Just a bizarre choice to not include full online, but the true way to experience Mario Party is with friends in real life of course, so, not the end of the world.

Overall not the worst game, it's a competent Mario Party game that checks off a handful of boxes, but with a complete lack of content is gets stale fast. And the game overall just feels like it has a lack of soul. All these problems are amplified when seeing the new Mario Party Superstars, which is basically better than this game in just about every single way. I have not played this new game but it seems to me Super Mario Party is rendered obsolete by it. Definitely not worth the $60 dollars I spent, I'd say this is worth like $30 bucks.

Yeah, serviceable, but you're now probably better off playing other entries in the series.

Controversial take I know

Just not a huge fan of this one, I love everything about it except the actual game play.

I love some of the music in this game, Rainbow Road easily has the best song in the game though. I find myself listening to it from time to time.

Graphically it's in the same pseudo 2.5D style of F-ZERO, and I think the characters, backgrounds, even the tracks, all look really charming and aesthetically pleasing. I like that they made Donkey Kong JR instead of regular Donkey Kong.

The tracks are all varied and distinct, and level design is pretty solid though nothing really groundbreaking. I know they were limited by the technology but yeah, the tracks aren't anything to scream about. F-ZERO had better tracks I believe. I will also say F-ZERO is just a better game, but y'know, this review isn't about that.

My biggest problem is again the game play. It feels slow, hard to control, and clunky. turning is just kind annoying, even after figuring it out and turning properly it still just feels bad. It's not really satisfying and fun like any other Mario Kart game. It's noticeably different than future titles and that's fine, it's just not really fun. I'm, saying this is the weakest mainline Mario Kart game by far, every next mainline entry is more fun in every way. And it's not even close to being the best racing game on the SNES. Again, F-ZERO is better, the Top Gear games are better, etc.

A game that is good in every aspect but the game play, truly sad. Type of game you revisit or play with friends for a bit then say fuck this lets go play N64, Double Dash, Wii, MK8, fucking anything else.

I'm really hating on this game but it's not that bad, if you've never experienced it before it's worth a revisit I guess but for me, I have no reason to ever play this over any other Mario Kart game.

Played on a Fat PS2

This is a super unique fighting game and after all these years I can only think of two games like it (Bushido Blade 2 and Hellish Quart)

The game offers extremely intense and deep combat, with many moves and strategies available to the players. The way combat flows and feels is always nerving even for the best players.

Every character has their own advantages and special moves they're able to utilize, though each character only has access to special moves on one or two weapons. So this means if you play a certain character, you should use a weapon that the character can do special moves with. That's mostly as far as character differences go, though there is a special unlockable character that has a gun lol.

The weapons are all completely unique. Every weapon has its own move set, so you may be a master at one weapon, but have no idea how to use a different weapon. Now I don't know what any metas are but I stuck with the katana cause katanas are cool of course, and there's a lot of moves available it's pretty hard to keep track of, like any technical fighting game. I'm also pretty sure every character has a throwable weapon, I don't think these throwables can kill but they can noticeably injure your opponent. The exception is the dude with the gun of course.

Maps are kept pretty simple though they offer uneven terrain, objects in the way such as bamboo, there's definitely variety, it's just not a huge difference. It's notable that you can climb certain steeps on maps and can throw sand/dirt at your opponent if you're standing on it, so there is environmental interaction. It's also of note every character can jump.

The damage system is one of the unique bits of this game. No health bars or anything close to that, instead it's a bodily damage system and how hard a strike is + where you get struck can determine if you simply take damage, lose a function of a limb, become crippled, or die. You can do a light strike and a heavy strike, of course there's a million different variations of the light and heavy strike, but yeah there's two categories. You can strike at an opponents legs, torso, or head. What part of the body you're going for determines what specific move you'll throw. For example, a big overhead swing will only be possible to perform when you're aiming for your opponents head and when you go for a heavy strike. Any hit to the head is usually a kill. Hits to the torso can either just cause damage, or one arm goes limp, or you die. Hits to the leg usually cause damage or crippling, which leaves an opponent in a crouching or crawling stance, from this stance, aiming low now goes for the head or torso rather than legs because your opponent is lower.

I could go further and further in depth on the combat and the functions of this game, I didn't even talk about how blocking and parrying works, but if you're still reading this review at this point just go play it for yourself.

It's a fucking great swordplay game I promise. A definite recommend. I would also recommend playing this with friends.

Best Mario Kart ever

I played this game nonstop as a kid, the news of having to go to Kindergarten sucked as it meant I couldn't play Mario Kart Wii as much. I was a fucking wizard, no one, not even my dad, could even contest me in Mario Kart. I was a god amongst men. Now in MK8 Online, I still have prowess but people know such advanced tactics that they're able to beat me (fucking gold mario players)

I recently went and replayed through the entire game (unlocking everything) on the Dolphin Emulator, I used an Xbox One controller and mapped it as a gamecube controller, It worked very well.

This game has the best roster in any Mario Kart game EASILY. Not all these stupid variations of Mario or Peach or something, but a bunch of fan favorites. The inclusion of Funky Kong was just a bonus, and Diddy Kong is a must have in Mario Kart. Seriously why the fuck is Diddy not in MK8? Rosalina was a great addition, you have more abstract characters like Birdo. It seems most Mario Games from the Wii era had the best rosters.

The track selection is very solid, though Baby Park is noticeably absent, and unfortunately Dino Dino Jungle is also missing. Still, the track list is expansive and great, featuring 8 whole Cups, which is a lot. Koopa Capes is my favorite map. Also Wii has the best Rainbow Road 100%.

Also to note, the graphics in this game look great, everything is so aesthetically pleasing and has so much charm to it. This also applies to the music.

I think the game plays much tighter than Double Dash, and is therefore less chaotic. But this game is way harder than Double Dash. The AI fucking hates you, they're all out to get you. on 150 cc and mirror, the AI is gonna hit you like a million times, you could be speed running the map and you bump into a corner once, and it's all over. Shits rough.

This is just the best Mario Kart in almost every aspect for me. If you struggle with the controls, plug in a classic or game cube controller, or if you're emulating like me use any controller. It works great.

A must play game.
