Played with GMDX mod (was advised to use that instead of Revision for 1st playthrough).
Has some great parts, but also has parts where it's reaaally far from being called "perfect" or "masterpiece".
Nonlethal and/or Stealth runs are possible but can become tedious & boring. I abandoned going nonlethal-stealth after certain mission, seeing that there's not much variety in nonlethal take-downs when compared to lethal.
Stealth also can be annoying. Better keep your inventory organized or you won't be able to pick up a body (imagine that). Also had occasions where enemies saw me almost through walls or when they technically should only be able to see a tiny part of the body. There's more I'd want to complain in that regard, but I'll keep this spoiler-free.
Story is okay, world-building seemed bit lackluster, only cared about one or two characters besides MC.
tl;dr Enjoyable but rough around the edges even with "massive" mod overhauls around.

Frankly, it is too long. Felt burnt out at the end of main story and didn't even get to the DLCs because, well, after "farming" some gear my save literally disappeared.

I really liked it until I finished Von Braun and had to go "searching for X amount of things" in confusing no-map place, where things got tedious and kinda annoying. There were some great parts after that but it just didn't feel the same anymore.
I should preface that because I didn't fully understand how the early choices work I ended up a Psi/Melee char. Yet melee hitboxes quite often didn't work properly and some of psi skills were kinda...useless, making the experience less and less enjoyable as more enemies were introduced into the respawn system.
I heard there will be Remake of 1 and Remaster/Enchanced version of this so I might give these a try.

Simon says it's artsy.
Simon says its platforming is boring.
Simon says drugs, drugs for everyone!

Very beautiful and cute... but the gameplay's kind of too lackluster to bother finishing it.

Devs: "Let's make a horror game whose setting is in Hell. We'll call it Agony."
Post-Agony release
Devs: "Darn, Agony didn't work. Let's now make DOOM-like except with tits and repetitive content. And let's call it in the name of sex demons and give Protagonist the most annoying voice. Who cares if we only learned a bit from our past mistakes. It will work, right?"

Taste of demo made me excited for this. I though I'd finally get a new game that is similar to Heroes of Might & Magic except with choice system, romanceable companions, visible gear/armour changes, etc.
Instead it just feels empty and shallow, introduction to the world almost does not exist which leads to Player pretty much not caring about any of the characters.
Artificial barriers of "you must progress further in the story" make the early game rather boring. You can see what Units will available in the future yet you are left "spamming" the same ones for quite a bit of time.

I ain't got rhythm! No I ain't got rhythm!

"Older gamers" like to 'rant' how they had to use paper guides to finish some super hard Sega/Nintendo game.
Well, I needed a guide to not be raped each encounter.

Doubt I'll live long enough and not get corrupted into a completely different fetish by the time this has all the necessary content.

I gave in to the mass of reviews that called this "perfect", "masterpiece", "true game", "100/10", "I'd sell my soul for this game", etc.

Aaand I didn't see it. At all. Tried multiple times, I swear. Even if I kinda understood the emotional aspect of the loop.

Unlocked and did most of the ship log, yet the more I saw, the less interested in story I became. In the end, just looked at how to get the ending instead of discovering it myself.

Some planets were interesting, I'll give it that.
Controls on the other hand... were not great.

Bit of a weird situation with this one. I really wanted to complete it but just couldn't. It became a "slog" to play.
Maybe this will shed some spotlight:

The good:
-The OST sounds really great. Highlight of the game. Would recommend.
-The environments look cool, retro-style without too many irritating filters (that some put to replicate "old style")
-Satisfying to see head explodes

The bad:
-The weapons. Not much variety and you get most of them really early, so there's not much to look forward to.
-The enemies. Same enemies over and over and over again, with a rare instance where a new variant is added (again, very rare to happen)
-Levels & Map system: maybe I have a terrible sense of direction or too spoiled by modern games, but I would clear enemies in let's say 5mins, and then spend 15mins aimlessly wondering around in an already explored area with no idea what I am supposed to do as there are no Objectives that would hint where to go.
Map exists but despite multiple tries I found it to be pretty much useless and unintuitive.

Neutral:
-Secrets. As non-completionist didn't have major issues with this but having in some cases 35+ secrets per level and most of them being just a stash of loot? No unique weapons or anything like that? Sad.

Reason for quitting:
Got to next stage, thinking I was already close to the end of the game, already feeling slightly burnt out from repetitive enemies and aimless wandering. Decided to check a guide/walkthrough to see how much was left.
Found out I was only half-way done at best...

Tried out 'Version 1.000'.
Worst game I've played in 2021-2022 so far.

It says it's "one-of-a-kind intense tactical FPS", right?
Well, if the intensity is measured by how many shotgun shells normal difficulty (easiest of 3 available difficulties supposedly) enemies can take when they're literally in your face? Then it's very very intense indeed.

Gunplay is terrible, movement too sluggish, story mediocre, dating part writing abysmal.
It makes Agony & Succubus look like good games.

Pros:
- aesthetically pleasing art style
- customization of playable character using different forms
- relatively fun story

Cons:
-repetitiveness and grindness of having to do 'chore' quests to rank up forms. Especially once hybrid quests (custom form) start.
- gatekeeping by suddenly running out of form quests (e.g. can't get to A rank cause literally no new form quests were given)
- OST is nice but not much variety, tiring to listen to same 3-5 songs
- Dungeons don't seem to have any unique memorable bosses from what I saw in the 6-7 hours that I played.

Overall, good game but maybe more fun and less repetitive playing co-op?

Not masochistic enough to repeat almost same grind with 4-5 characters in a setting that promises choices and freedom yet extremely lackluster rewards for them.
(~80% "shared" skilltree that resets with each bloody character?!)
