Yes this game isn't perfect. Coming back to it now I see so many flaws. But the world building and the characters are very well written in my opinion and I really like the Sphere Grid. I always dreamed of what it was like to live in Spira as a kid.

Be warned, there is an infamously terrible plot twist in this game. Besides that, this is a great ARPG. At this time SO was doing combat way better then tales imo.
Lots and lots of content in this game: 3 post game dungeons, extra difficulties, battle trophies, etc. AN RPG WITH A SKIP CUTSCENE BUTTON FINALLY.

The creators of this game must of been watching some messed up hentai to be able to create some of the scenes in this game.
I've seen this game credited as a beacon of early LGBT representation in video games, but trust me, the main character is only a lesbian because these devs are incredibly horny all of the time.
Besides that, it's just more of the same but feels better to play.

Decent game. Really liked the card mechanics but if youre not careful this game can be really challneging. Its short and sweet and if you like games with card mechanics, then give it ago.

Never truly knew what it felt like to be in a niche until I became a huge fan of Deception. I like this game alot, I can set up traps for hours on end.
It plays so well with emulation, looks great and has a banging OST.
There is alot of content here so I can see people not liking this game since it's basically hours of the same gameplay loop. However, for me, I love it.

Although I prefer the 3rd game, this game definitely does a better job with the narrative and the translation.
Deception has a very unique gameplay loop and I think after like just 1 or 2 hours of gameplay you will already know if the game is for you or not.

Revisiting Spira was fun for me and I like the gullwings, they are great. Overall plot is definitely nothing exciting and it doesn't need to be, this is a great game and is really fun.
