Really nice collection of games. Not all of them are great, as some have definitely aged, but overall they are some of the better NES games that I've played. Plus the collection adds a lot of neat stuff like extra challenges, artwork, character bios, save states, and a rewind feature that I wouldn't have been able to beat the games without. My ranking of the games, from best to worst is 6 > 5 > 2 > 4 > 3 > 1.

I've seen most people say that 2 is the best, and I can see why. It definitely has the best soundtrack by far and has great level design and bosses. But, in my opinion, I think that 5 and 6 are much more refined experiences. They have just as good level design and boss fights, but better menus for the different weapons, a lot more characters like Protoman and Rush, as well as more story overall despite the stories being pretty simple in general. Furthermore, I'd say Megman 6 has the best boss designs and does the Rush power-ups better than any of the previous games, so it's definitely my favorite.

Pokemon Platinum is one of my favorite games of all time even though I got it in 2010 and it took me like 14 years to beat lol. This was my very first Pokemon game and is what caused me to become so attached to the franchise. I can't say much bad about this game. It was a huge improvement from Diamond and Pearl and is still the definitive version to play even when compared to the disappointing remakes, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It has tons of content, extending even into the post-game, great characters, one of the best Pokemon villains with Cyrus, the best Champion with Cynthia, and one of the coolest story climaxes of the series with the scene at Spear Pillar and in the Distortion World. I love this game.

Great game for an original Gameboy game and a huge improvement from the first game. The controls are a lot better, the map is designed much better, and the enemy placement also isn't insane like the first game. There are still some problems, however. The boss fights are a little repetitive and annoying, there's not much variety in scenery due to the limitations of the Gameboy's color palette, and having no health/missile refills in the last area with the omega metroids is pretty stupid. But otherwise, I very much enjoyed it. The way you kill the final boss is pretty cool as well and I love the ending with the cute baby metroid.

More of the same as the base game but in a good way. Same creepy atmosphere and fun gameplay and a bit more lore to expand on the original story. Very good.

Very good game with an amazing atmosphere. Very creepy and fun all the way through.

Very cool compilation that includes the first four Mario games, all with great visual upgrades. The games themselves are hit or miss, but Mario All-Stars is the definitive way to play these original games.

Super Mario Bros. 2 is alright. I like how unique it is for a Mario game but that's only because it really isn't a Mario game. The level design can get boring and annoying sometimes but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The bosses are also pretty cool, I wish they would return in some new Mario games.

Super Mario Bros 3 is a good game and a great improvement on what came before it. It also established so many concepts that are now essential to the series' identity. I like it.

After beating the first four FNAF games for the first time, FNAF 4 is definitely my favorite so far. It feels a lot more skill-based than FNAF 1, a lot harder than FNAF 3, but also not to the point of being unfair like FNAF 2. It's a perfect balance. In my opinion, it's also the scariest game out of the first four. The game relies heavily on audio prompts telling you where the animatronics are/what they are doing, and this really makes you so much more focused on the game and practically forces you to have your volume on max. All of this combined with the very unsettling designs of the animatronics makes the jumpscares hit a whole lot harder. Plus I love that what was intended to be the final FNAF game ends on the moment William Afton's descent into insanity begins: that being the death of his youngest son at the hands of his oldest son, or the Bite of 83' as it's called.

Super Mario World is wonderful and charming all around. Not much else needed to say. It's my favorite 2D Mario game.

Team Sonic Racing is such a downgrade in comparison to its predecessor: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. It's not bad by any means, I actually quite enjoyed it, and the soundtrack is awesome. It just feels so generic and lacks the charm and uniqueness Racing Transformed had. They gutted so much. All the non-Sonic characters and tracks are gone. All the interesting vehicles that reflected the characters' personalities and history are gone and replaced entirely with basic sports cars. The tracks no longer morph and change throughout the race like in the previous game. And worst of all the entire transforming gimmick is gone. You can no longer dash across the water like it's hydro thunder or fly through the sky. It's definitely a fun game, but it's vastly inferior to what came before it.

While it definitely has its flaws, I think Pokemon Scarlet/Violet is a step in the right direction for the series. It is a buggy mess and released way too soon, but I still think it's very fun. I found the open world very enjoyable to explore despite being a bit basic and I loved being able to play co-op. Furthermore, the story is, in my opinion, the second-best in the series, beaten only by the story of Black/White. The entire ending was absolutely amazing. I only wish that Gamefreak was given more time to develop these games because there are those moments where you can clearly see how creative and talented the devs are. They're just being held back by the countless restrictions and schedules the Pokemon franchise has. But, disregarding everything that could be and simply looking at this game for what it is, I do believe it's good. Not great, but I love it despite its flaws.

I'm rating this game including all the updates because they make a big difference. Getting straight to the point, Sonic Frontiers is my favorite Sonic game. It has very unique gameplay for the series, an amazing soundtrack, awesome boss battles, and a great story with wonderful writing and characterization. It has a few issues here and there, such as the annoying 2D sections of the third island, the fourth and fifth islands just being more of the first, the lackluster animations, and the original rushed ending and final boss, but the devs were clearly very passionate about this game. Most of the issues seem to come from the game being rushed by Sega more than anything. However, the updates do fix a lot of the problems, like the terrible original ending and the final boss (The third update's new ending is insanely cool; the best ending of any Sonic game). Although, even with its issues, I still believe Sonic Frontiers is an awesome game, and it makes me very excited for the future of the franchise.
