Though unfairly designed at some points, there are tricks to make adventuring easier and the combat is satisfying to master. Level-grinding is pretty bad though.

As advertised, a game for a particular person. While initially very frustrating, you do get an intuition for the game the longer you play.

Terraria has satisfying combat/movement and exploration, but building/mining is painfully slow and the pacing is inconsistent (the transition to Hardmode in particular)

The expertly crafted dungeons are the highlights alongside the soundtrack and narrative, but the combat is slightly boring and 20FPS is pretty low these days.

Pure unadulterated fun with expansive worlds and engaging platforming. Just playing around in the castle is a delight. Press R+C-Down for better camera positioning.

Metroid is clearly dated, but satisfying to rush through once you know its ins and outs. Finish Zero Mission first for an improved experience.

A fantastic if unorthodox Metroid game. Despite its greyscale presentation and linearity, it has an incredible atmosphere. I recommend using a map if needed.

A short, but sweet experience in which Kirby lacks his trademark copy abilities. Not challenging in the slightest, unless you play Extra Mode.

Slightly frustrating game with great graphics for its time and transcendent music. Unfortunately, the camera is a little too close for the game's own good.
