Well suited for mobile play sessions (even if those play sessions are little bit longer than would be comfortable). Quite similar to something like Mini Metro, with the recycling phase having a net-negative effect on how the end state of each level is perceived (which probably says something about my obsession with seeing sci-fi white domes and windmills dotted around a landscape).

Please cry more about how hard games are, it makes my slightly above average skill and resilience feel like a feat.

2022

if Sifu was a 2006 PS2 game developed by Clover Studio you would all be shitting and pissing.

ROLLING AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND

RE4 wasn't THAT good to begin with. Really wish this was just the village section for 12 hours (even RE8 fails on that promise though).

god i hate atari and their 12 year old looking ceo trying to salvage the company despite it's lack of ANYTHING MEANINGFUL IN THE 21ST CENTURY, pumping NFTs and dumping copypastas of 'DAE pong?' wherever it goes. This is the most toothless presentation of Atari's shit ass legacy but at least we got to find out that the programmers smoked weeeeeddd duuuudddee.

Digital Eclipse, my sweet child, none of this is aimed at you, you could never do wrong, though I do question wtf the new ReImAgInEd games are doing here and why The Stacks has been self-inserted? I thought we all agreed Ready Player One was a trash book?

1996

Eschews and predates tracker-style sequencers á la Popstar Maker or Music 2000 showcasing a primitive but laser-focused and specific A-B loop machine loaded entirely with breakbeat samples and korg synth pads, breeding a type of creativity suited for its tight limitations.

Dolphin mode takes a nonsensical approach to unlocking new samples which is easily exploitable but misses out on the dynamic divergent 'gameplay' you may expect.

2022

fuck prose, all my homies hate flowery, boring prose.

I beat this last year when it was called Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.

Roger Ebert would have gave this game five stars

Insane that you can release a rhythm game with one song and a twenty track tutorial.

While I'm tempted to lean into the joke and give a nudge and wink and say something clever and unassuming, the reality is that this map is insane and I am in love with it.

My man somehow managed to dig up a forum account with 17 years of posting history specifically for this map? The google drive is full of goodies and a major plot point is hidden as a QR code on a gravestone! And I haven't even mentioned what actually happens within the wad pk3.

Game of the Year.

First 30 seconds were amazing but the game does not want you to play it.
