Artistically amazing, but some issues with controls and frustrating mechanics keep this from being a great game for me.

Despite some poorly aged game mechanics, I had a fun time with this one. It was just dumb fun, something I really was looking for.

The worst aspect was some of the characters/writing. It's not offensive, but some stuff really hasn't aged very well and makes you cringe a little.

Only real complaint is that the boss fights kinda stink. The last one rules though.

Rest of the game is lightning in a bottle. This shit is gas.

The scenes in the school were some of the most tense scenes in a video game. they were really well done and really made me interested in what really happened to Jessica.

I know there is a lore explanation for what happened at the end, there are comics that explain it and put it into context, but I really wish it was a bit more obvious that Mount Massive was behind everything. It really would have been a nice callback to the first game and would have linked everything together better, making the audience a lot more keen on the ending.

At least the bro supports transgenders. I'd date him, he seems like a gentleman.

The most tense I have been while playing a video game. It's short enough so it doesn't outstay its welcome and is long enough to really make you feel the struggle of escaping the asylum. I wish the story was a little less vague as it kinda drops the ball in the final area, but it's a minor complaint to an excellent package.

I think it is a well made game. it runs well, looks pretty and does what the developers wanted it to do. It is pretty fun as well, finding a fine balance between RE2's horror and RE4's action.

Where it disappointed was how quickly it went by. This game is VERY short and it did not need to be so. So many things are just thrown at you and you just have to accept that. Nemesis just shows up with no build up, taking away all of the potential horror that could have been there.
There was also a lot of minor things that really just annoyed me. The quick time event when you get grabbed either doesn't work or does something else, but you take damage anyways. In the hospital, those lizard guys can just one shot you out of nowhere and it is completely unfair. This is a good game, but it could have been amazing if the core story was thought out better instead of just acting like a DLC to RE2.

Game owns hard. Runs very smoothly and one of the spookiest gaming experiences I have had in a while. Very solid game.

Two complaints, one minor one major.

I get that you do so little damage to incentivize you to run away, but in some occasions it was just annoying like with the lickers and large groups of enemies, but since it never got in the way and was more of a intentional decision, I can move past it.

One thing that I can't is the consistency of the storylines between the two campaigns. It went back and fourth between having a separate story and one that was one consistent story, so much so that events that one character did in their storyline was retconned by the other. It was confusing and felt very half-assed for a game filled with polish.

Besides those two issues, nothing but praise and one of the best remakes I have played.

I only played the intro sequence of the og, so I don't have the full picture comparing this one to the original.

This game is really, really fun and it keeps me coming back. Ever complaint I have is so minor that it is the nitpicky of nitpicky takes, like the yellow markings on destructible items. All of the discussion and 'controversy' is because people are hyper analyzing a game that is just pure fun. This isn't mean to be art to emotionally impact people, it's just a good time, and people will do anything to ruin that fun for others.
Just a bomb ass game with a lot of replay value.

This was a triumph.
I'm making a note here:
huge success.
It's hard to overstate
My satisfaction.
Aperture Science.
We do what we must
Because we can.
For the good of all of us.
Except the ones who are dead.

But there's no sense crying
Over every mistake.
You just keep on trying
Till you run out of cake.
And the Science gets done.
And you make a neat gun.
For the people who are
Still alive.

I'm not even angry.
I'm being so sincere right now.
Even though you broke my heart.
And killed me.
And tore me to pieces.
And threw every piece into a fire.
As they burned it hurt because
I was so happy for you!
Now these points of data
Make a beautiful line.
And we're out of beta.
We're releasing on time.
So I'm glad. I got burned.
Think of all the things we learned
For the people who are
Still alive.

Go ahead and leave me.
I think I prefer to stay inside.
Maybe you'll find someone else
To help you.
Maybe Black Mesa...
THAT WAS A JOKE, HA HA, FAT CHANCE.
Anyway this cake is great
It's so delicious and moist
Look at me still talking when there's science to do
When I look out there
It makes me GLaD I'm not you
I've experiments to run
There is research to be done
On the people who are
Still alive.

And believe me I am still alive
I'm doing science and I'm still alive
I feel FANTASTIC and I'm still alive
While you're dying I'll be still alive
And when you're dead I will be still alive
Still alive
Still alive.

My ultimate guilty pleasure game that is really unhealthy for me to play. It is really, really fun especially with other people. I don't care how shitty the writing is or how much of a disaster pit the online is, it is GOOD.

I mean, I'm not listing this game as a 5/5 because it is my favorite game. I'm doing it as I have nothing to nitpick or complain about. It is a perfect video game.

It is good, but I forgot why.

In all seriousness, this is a good game. It just isn't as memorable as the others, which is a bummer as if this banged, it could have spawned more off shoots for the franchise, but what we got was good.

This is the best Uncharted game.

The story is excellent, the gameplay is phenomenal, and, at the time, set a new bar for visuals and graphics. This game is gorgeous with its locations and graphics. Especially the facial animations, OMFG THEY'RE SO GOOD.

This game is really fun and, in some aspects, improves on the storytelling of the last game.

So what's the issue?

What's the deal with Talbot? One of the biggest plot holes of a character I have seen in a video game who has UBER plot armor for NO REASON. The dude gets shot and lives, with no explanation. The dude is able to teleport, FOR NO REASON. They acknowledge it in the game, multiple times, and at the end where you think they would explain it, YOU SHOOT HIM AND HE IS DEAD. LIKE WHAT THE HELL.

The game would be better than 2 if there was more time on the story. If there was more time fleshing out the plot holes and the villans, as they did with Sully and Nate's relationship, this game would be amazing.
