Maybe it's because I have gone several years without playing a proper Triple A style game, but I found Atomic Heart better than how others reviewed it. Combat, graphics, and soundtrack are top notch of course, but the story was terrible. It moved the game along, and that was it. The sense of growing power was satisfying, if maybe a bit too intense with how fast it is if you scavenge a lot. If you're mostly judging whether or not to play based on the trailer campaign, then give it a shot. The cool factor and vibes of the game are really well executed. Plus it's included with game pass.

Also, play with Russian audio...

Game is unbalanced as hell :{ But that's what makes it fun ¬‿¬ Plus the moment to moment gameplay is really conducive to flow state. The gun sounds are all expertly crafted to fit into the rhythm and make you feel cool. Just play like 10 games before making your judgement.

Live, Die, Learn, Repeat. Standard fare. Except Spelunky 2 perfects each of those parts until they've made the one and only roguelike game you'll ever need again.

Like a rhythm game without the rhythm. Get into the flow and start slicing. Your reflexes aren't the only sharp things around here.

Listen to "The Cyber Grind" from the OST. That is just the training mode music.

Crazy amount of stuff to do, and it's constantly being updated. Mod support is huge too, making it very hard to get bored. I always come out of multiplayer with a new friend or a story.

Strange game with an experimental system. I respect the idea of the constellation system, but when a lady asked me if she could trust me, I signed out "DANGER" & "BAD" and she said, "yea, you're right, bad things will happen if I don't listen to you" I became a bit exasperated and disillusioned with the amount of choice I had. Since you don't actually get to see the grotto either, I didn't feel any need to repeat my playthrough to change its outcome.

It is exceedingly obvious that so much care has been put into this game, so much attention to detail. It is a shame that the gameplay failed to catch me, beautiful and intricate as everything else was.

While I still think 2 is the best Crysis, this still has some good in it. It's very evidently made to appeal to a large audience, and was certainly trend chasing at the time of its release. The main problem with it is how easy it is, I would say. Invisibility completely nullifies all aggro, and is very cheap to pull off. Story was also just mediocre. Lots of big set pieces were present, but nothing like the interconnected crumbling city of 2. Its nothing for the history books, but it's not BAD. Also ties up the series nicely, if you care. Only bad thing to say about it is the frames dip into very low territory occasionally.

Holds up better than I expected! My first time going through, and after just beating Crysis 1 I can see why people prefer this one much more. I was a bit sad that they took away maximum speed though, even if the smaller levels do warrant it.

Holds up well enough, but definitely feels like it was made in 2008. I got bored at how slow it was, even at "max speed", so I cheated in a lot of speed and instantly the game was turned from a cover shooter into an actually enjoyable experience. The maps are really big, so it felt great zooming around, and there's something supremely satisfying about speed in Crysis.

Played the demo, so so far all I can say is that: 1) There is some JUICY lore here. 2) It has its stylistic choices, and it sticks with them no matter what. Which I can respect.

Good platforming, better ideas, GODLY writing. Super clever in a lot of ways. I played the steam release so a lot of problems were fixed, and I beat the final level in one go, so don't mind those reviews if you are planning to play on steam.

Not a fan of the series typically, but I saw it had a lot of praise. Still not a fan of the series. There's just a lot of meaningless stuff for you to do everywhere. The improvements that all the little itty bitty tasks give don't feel proportional to the increase in power or progression in story that they should. Writing was fine to good, from what I played. Very fleshed out world. Starting from here in the series was a little confusing, but they did an ok job at letting me know what was going on. To summarize, it was made by EA, so....

Anime ass game convinces me it's anime, then a crime drama, then anime again. Was great.
