when all your vn has going for it is "queer"
couldn't get into this, the writing is below amateurish yet dense, self indulgent and lifeless. the art is ugly yet very scarce. what's worse is the setting justifies it having the blandest ambient soundtrack known by man
feels aimed towards confused teenagers who only read smut webcomics on tumblr and haven't picked a romance novel in their lives while still pretending to be above what it really is. the vn at its core is fanfiction tier and sadly the presentation is nowhere near good enough to give it a pass out of the audiovisual experience alone

A speedrunner's paradise intended to be replayed over and over for the most optimal movements, Neon White is an impeccably designed puzzle-platformer-shooter thing that never stops throwing the most fun gameplay ideas at you. Some of these levels legit blew my mind! The complaints about bad writing are so overblown to the point it's all I heard about the game till now, and I missed out on one of the best of last year. While yes the story is wildly different quality to the actual core gameplay, it should absolutely not put you off when it can be entirely skipped and isn't important at all. Love the character designs at least

Crazy how the best game in the Sky trilogy is the blatant asset flip clearly made on a lower budget where half the game is optional. Star Door 15 shot the character it focuses on to my favourite Trails character in an instant.

This series has been around for god knows how long and the kids who grew up with the original game on the NES are old enough now to collect social security. So why does the series continue to go for the kiddie audience instead of appealing to his actual fans, the adults? Think of how awesome a Mario game where he swears and uses mushrooms like drugs would be. Such a shame that the lazy devs don’t understand what the real fans want.
