This would genuinely be a 10 if A) It wasn't stuck on the 3DS, and B) had an actual overworld map. Everything else is perfect.

I'm convinced everyone who shits on the combat is a paid actor

Minus half a star for Dancer.

This would be a 4/5 if it weren't for the fucked up shotgun

Id realized they were allowed to release an actually good expansion to Doom II (I'm not counting Plutonia as good since it's way too fucking long)

I don't really know what to say. I mean, it's Chex Quest. It's a fairly cookie cutter mod for Doom that has some interesting aspects, but is too short and generic to warrant anything more than one playthrough.

Gameplay: B
- Standard Build engine affair, it's pretty good.
Weapon Selection: C
- Terrible selection. The Uzis are fine. The riot gun is a poor excuse for a shotgun, doesn't have any of the kick it should and is practically useless unless it's on burst fire. The shurikans are to Shadow Warrior what the pistol is to Doom, but worse. The missile and grenade launchers are actually pretty good and have a large capacity of ammo. The railgun is also pretty unique for 1997. The demon head is the star of the show, but it's ammo is pretty limited. The demon heart can like, insta kill a single enemy? Real useful stuff.
Maps/Level Design: D
- I don't know who designed these levels, but everything past the four initial shareware levels is a confusing labyrinth of a map. Keys are placed in random fucking holes and you have to practically solve a puzzle to find everyone. The first like, six maps actually look really good, but literally everything afterwards is a bunch of vaguely oriental gray walls.
Atmosphere: D
- I expected some cool city and I got random buildings. I don't even know how to describe them.
Overall: D
- I was really disappointed with this game. I expected much more from the holy trinity of Build engine games, but now I'm left surprised at how this abomination could even be considered among the likes of Blood and Duke Nukem 3D. 6.7/10.

Nice little time capsule from 2013. Surprisingly fun little cleaning game.

I liked the part where it took them 2 years to develop a single map

Holds up really well for a 2001 hack and slash game. Seriously fun although a bit janky. Some of the bosses fucking suck though.

If you can get behind the gameplay loop that very obviously rewards players with sneaky angles that enemies can't possibly see coming over actual skillful strategizing and the the downright terribly balanced maps and operators, it's pretty fun. The defending gameplay is very unique and unlike any other game I've played.

Actually disrespectful to anything good OW1 did.

I kinda miss it honestly. I loved playing OW (partially because I hadn't discovered TF2 yet) for years, and even though the game is alive through Overwatch 2, they will never be the same. Near the end of the life cycle, the balancing was bullshit, making it somewhat unplayable without raging, but I still had a good time. RIP to OW1.

Imagine if you played an RPG where you could only play one role. Now imagine if it had great gameplay. This is Fallout 4.

Wonderful game, but content takes too long to pump out and usually isn't worth the wait.
