This is the best the series has ever felt.
Ok, let me elaborate. From the previous games you'd think that the series has always been played on a playstation controller right? So it wouldn't make sense to play on keyboard... Right??
Well actually, keyboard is the closest this version of project diva has been to it's intended controller, since the arcade versions of project diva (which Megamix/Future Tone are based on) have all the buttons laid out in a row of 4, with a flick touch bar at the top! Combine this with the ability to DOUBLEBIND (THANK YOU SEGA) and, yeah! This is the best home version of Project Diva Arcade you can play (legally)!

Objectively this game sucks.
The “fear” in the game is completely reliant on jumpscares, there’s some cheap hits that you literally cannot stop, getting health back is completely dependent on RNG, etc and etc.
But think of it in the context of its intended environment.
You’re in an arcade aren’t you? After being intrigued by the admittedly pretty damn cool cab design, you sit inside of the cab, put in a coin, start a game… and immediately BLASTED with air from the first jumpscare, scrambling to center your mounted gun before you take damage.
And from that point on? It doesn’t stop. The game is defined by spots of complete quiet, and sections of nonstop, pure 100% all the way adrenaline, the air blasting into your face and the audio almost tearing out your eardrums as the feral screams of zombies surround you, as you try and fight them off as much as possible.
Is it a good horror game? Hell no.
Is it a good light gun shooter? Hell YES IT IS!
Just be sure you’re ok with complete audiovisual overstimulation and taking some cheap hits now and then.
And make sure to get those cameras :)

Back 4 Blood is like if you took everything good from Left 4 Dead, gutted it, and made up the difference with the most painfully gimmicky mechanics known to man. It is PAINFUL how much wasted potential this game had.

THE horde shooter. I honestly can't believe that for 10+ years no horde shooter has ever been able to match the sheer quality of Left 4 Dead 2. To this day you can't go wrong with a group of friends and L4D2, it's buckets of action packed zombie gore with some of the best writing in gaming ever.

this game is just a non-stop trip of feel good energy and goofy fun, and sometimes that's all a game needs to be! no deeper story, no groundbreaking technology, just pure fun.

the modern hitman trilogy astounds me because, from an objective standpoint, this game is broken as HELL. but like... broken in the most perfect way possible???
the ai is often dumb as bricks and has almost non-existent peripheral vision, but it's all by design and makes it all the more fun to get away with the stupidest moves!
barely anyone seems to notice that their black young co-worker is now a middle aged bald white man!
apparently launching someone into the stratosphere and into the ocean with several dozens of propane tanks is not only counted as a "accident" kill, but a kill worthy of silent assassin ?????
and yet. It WORKS. Like this game is in that perfect balance of "buttfuck broken" and "works perfectly" that i think it's even better than if the game worked perfectly well!
