I love this game!!

A Lot of people say "oh the Batmobile takes up 60% of the game" First off I still find the Batmobile fun to use and second that is simply not true. The Boy Aqua (I would check his video out) said he recorded his whole 100% playthrough of this game only using it when necessary and it only took up 19% of the game.

Even then, the stealth and the combat are practically flawless, and I still thought it was a damn good story

I think this game is primarily flawed because of the combat. I think this would've been better as a third person action game because meleeing with the club or spear is pretty bad and that only leaves long ranged combat with the bow and spear and some throwable bomb like weapons which can get a little stale in a game this long. That being said I still enjoyed my time with this game. Stealth was kinda fun especially bombing unsuspecting enemies with the owl which funny to watch. Matter of fact I think the primary draw of this game is using your tamed animals to kill things, making a giant bear ragdoll people and rhinos is cool. I enjoyed the story too, the character you meet along the way are entertaining and I love the idea of building up your tribe over time. I'm definelty glad I finished this and I certainly had fun. I just wished the combat was way more complex and my rating would be much higher.

This game really personifies the term "generically good". It's hard to find something outright bad. It handles powerups slightly better than the first game by adding the tanooki. But other than that it's just kind of a hollow game with nothing much to remember it for. The coin collecting gimmick could've been cool in concept but they don't differ at all compared to any other 2d Mario game so what's the point. Glad I have my perspective on it but it's definitely one the weakest games in the franchise for me so far.

I learned something about myself playing this...
I CAN BOOGIE!!!!!!!

Does anyone else remember the sheer amount of joy everyone felt when the first direct for this came out?

God I wish Jetpacks were real

From what I've seen the general consensus is that this game is inferior to The New Order and Old Blood (I haven't played Old Blood yet so my comparisons will be mostly from New Order) but I actually found myself liking this game more.

Now storywise in terms of depth and the depressing tone yeah New Order is superior but I still think the story works in this. The story is a lot lighter in tone but it still can be serious when it needs to be and kinda gives it a Tarentino movie vibe (also helping that the comedic scenes are generally pretty funny) and while I appreciated the lack of restraint in showing the horrors of the Nazis in the previous game they are both still Wolfenstein and should have some level of absurdity and I think if they showed more concentration camps or horrible experiments it would just be repeating story points unless they got really creative with it. I also like how the story has some sense of progress. In New Order, for the most part the resistance didn't really have any grand plan but made it up along the way which worked because it showed the desperation the resistance had at the time. In New Colossus now that the resistance has all its stolen Nazi tech, they form an actual plan. So almost every action in this game is united under a main goal of liberating America.

But enough about the story I'm a gameplay guy first and foremost. And this is the main reason I prefer it to New Order. Now I think that games combat was great but when the going got tough in later levels, I always found myself falling into the same strategy of hiding in a corner with a charging station and abusing the Minigun and multishot upgrade for the lasergun. Here if I tried that same strategy, I would've never completed this game. The combat is much more hectic thanks to the wider enemy variety and better weapon variety this time around (as of note the schockhammer might just be the most glorious shotgun I have ever wielded). I also love how you can sprint full speed while dual wielding. I get originally there was a trade off of increased firepower at the cost of slower speed but I almost never found myself single wielding any weapon that had a dual wield option so it could get a little tedious. The sprinting definitely gave this game a true run and gun style game. That combined with the various weapon upgrades, wide set of heavy weapons, the ability to dual wield different types of weapons at once, enemy variety, and the various perks of the contraptions created such a vast and wide array of options for approaching both combat and stealth and it had a crazy good soundtrack to back it up.

Now the main reason this has the same score as New Order despite me liking New Colossus more is primarily because of one huge flaw in my eyes. That being a lack of a new game plus. I mean come on one of the most fun parts of linear games is blitzing through earlier levels while maxed out and this game isn't open world so I don't understand how they couldn't put in an option to full on replay chapters. And it just doesn't feel the same through these level areas with the oberkommando missions as they lack the story cutscenes and some the moments are some of my favorite moments in any story driven game. But the moment to moment gameplay is still a fine as hell experience that I definitely recommend.

I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews on this site, but this honestly is one of my favorite games in recent memory.

First there's the story and writing which a lot of reviews I've seen say is bad and shitty, but I actually found myself enjoying it. Nothing made me laugh per say, but a lot of the jokes and character interactions did make me smile. Maybe it's because I'm a young adult who makes similar jokes with my friends but I can't help it.

Than there's the gameplay which I can best sum up as "Doom Eternal Lite" but that's 10 miles too far from a bad thing in my eyes. It simplifies a lot of Eternals mechanics. You don't have armor, you only have six weapons as opposed to 9 (7 if you count the sword), none of the weapons have alt fires (though they can be upgraded), and so on. But the thing is, everything still plays out the fabled "Doom Dance" fantastically. You shoot enemies to gain health back and slash them with the sword to get ammo, this simple loop still managed to create an amazing push forward combat loop that got really addicting, and even though non of the weapons have alt fires, they can be upgraded to improve how they play, and each weapon still felt like it had it's place in the combat and pulling of gun cycling combo's never gets old. Heck, this arena fps managed to make it's pistol weapon still viable in the late game, that's an accomplishment if I've ever seen one. And last in the game play department are this game's glory kill equivalent: the finishers, while yes they do give health back when used, they also need to be charged up and allow to use's your enemies' weapons for a short time. I love this because it really makes you have to work for a power trip and still requires the player to be smart with it.

Over all I see this game as more than a "Doom Eternal Clone" though I don't really get this criticism as whole where a game releases with a similar style to a popular game and it's labeled as a rip off. That's just how the game industry works, and Shadow Warrior 3 still manages to feel different from the rest. If you didn't like this game that's completely fine, but to quote Lo Wang "Listen I know your experience probably differs from mine, but I am having a blast!!".

🎵THE ONLY THING I KNOW IS FOR REAL....
THIS GAME KICKS ASS!!!!!!!
YEAH!!!
WHEN I LOOK AT THE COVER I NOD MY HEAD!!!
THE SOUNDTRACK!!!
SLAPS!!!!!
THE WRITING ALSO MAKES ME LAUGH!!!!!!!!🎵

This is a solid game with a few drawbacks. I think the main one being it doesn't take full advantage of the game play capabilities. One of the big points of the game when it released was that it was 2D Mario with 3D mechanics like wall jumping and triple jumping yet pretty much none of the levels really take advantage of these mechanics. Same with the power ups, there are a lot of cool power ups like the shell, mini mushroom, and mega mushroom, yet the only way to get them in most levels is just to hope the red box floats above the level you're playing which is a let down to me as these power ups could easily have entire levels themed around them. But this game ain't bad at all, the levels themselves are honestly pretty solid especially in world 8 some of those levels felt straight out of Mario Maker. And although a common complaint of the new supe series is that they're visually dull, I wouldn't really say that applies here. I know it was probably due to limitations but the low poly 3D models combined with 2D textures and sprites gave it a pretty unique art style that I definelty wouldn't say is dull. I still had a lot of fun playing this in my downtime and would absolutely recommend it, it's just a shame that it doesn't completely utilize what it's capable of as the building blocks were their to make something truly great.

I feel this pales in comparison to the previous game mainly in the controls and combat as it really lacks impact and is way too floatly

HOLY FUCKAMOLE!!!!!!!!!!
Probably among of of the simplest yet greatest stories I've ever experienced. Gameplay is a bit simple yet so satisfying
I loved every second of it!!!
