Pretty fun overall but blander than I remember the series being at it's absolute best.

I don't really like the extent to which they've filed down Ratchet's edges to make him a nice, heroic protagonist. In the original, he was a little selfish, got a little salty and sorts grew into being a hero and I miss that.

Best Battle Royale game there is. I won once.

Favorite Crash game in the series, in terms of overall gameplay and aesthetic. Completion is too demanding and many hidden boxes feel cheap but overall a great showing and I'm hopeful for a sequel.

2016

Gameplay is fun, most of the environments are sort of dull, however. UAC facilities on Mars bore, by and large, Hell fares slightly better tho it's not particularly unique as a setting.

Very nostalgic for me, having been a stalwart fan of the series since the release of the original. Little disappointing that KH3 saw so little representation overall, but in general a fun rhythm game for my one of my favorite series'.

Did not find the combat particularly engaging many hours in, tho the story and setting are extremely cool by all appearances.

My gold-standard for rogues, between just the gamefeel in general and the huge variety of weapons, items, interactions between them and an absurd amount of secret unlockable I can and probably will play this forever. I have put in a truly embarrassing amount of time on this game between PC / Switch and it's one of my all time favorites as a result.

I'm marking it as Mastered, because while there's still things I believe that I haven't unlocked I did manage to unlock the Gunslinger so I'm rounding up.

It's buggy, the loading times are incredibly shitty, the online seems like it's held together with duct-tape and bubble gum but it's still probably the best kart racer ever made.

It's a bad game based on a good manga.

I would describe this as a really good game to play while you're watching something on TV. You don't really have to pay that close of attention to it and you don't miss a lot when you're looking away. Can't help but think I'd have liked it more if it was actually a tabletop dice game. I expect to come back to it occasionally to kill time however.

Excellent remake of 2 classic platformers and Spyro 3.

One of the best games ever made from a gameplay perspective but I do find the constant interruption from cutscenes sort of intrusive on a replay and the opening sequence is a little tedious. Nevertheless, one of my all-time favs.

Good platformer. I like the increased movement speed and Bowser's Fury is great, though short.

2018

I think as a Rouguelike this game suffers somewhat from a lack of actual content with only four stages in each run and a relatively small variety of weapons and upgrades compared to other rogues I've played and of course Zagreus is the only character. After a few wins I found I was able to find a couple of winning builds and use keepsakes to deliberately achieve them pretty consistently, to the point where getting wins began to feel somewhat trivial and runs began to feel samey. Again nothing wrong with what's on offer here but in terms of actual content it's light compared to some others.

What I will say is that the game wraps the conventions of its genre in a story that demands them in a way I haven't ever really seen before. Characters are charming and well-voiced, finding out about them is fun, the amount of dialogue is staggering and the way everyone in the underworld responds to the specifics of your successes and failures is very cool. I can see why this has developed a following of people who generally don't really like rogues because beyond what I would consider Good but not Great rogue mechanics, there's really a lot to enjoy here.

Some of the best level design in the series and also the absolute worst plot by a lot. Dream Eaters are a weird, sorta fun diversion. I think the combat doesn't really touch 2, but flowmotion is fun and 3 expands on it in some interesting ways.,
