I was incredibly impressed at the quality of how this remaster was done. The visuals, audio, controls, and performance are all top notch for a system that's near the end of its life.

The adventure itself was even better than the first time around. I absolutely love how you get your abilities stripped away at the start and need to reclaim all that was lost. Not only does it serve as a beacon of progress as you play, but it also serves as a way to keep the player engaged and learning new things up until the very end.

The titular Metroid Prime is, in my opinion, one of the best final bosses in gaming. It applies virtually everything you've acquired throughout the game in order to defeat it. Everything gets tested and you truly feel like a badass for coming out on top.

There are some things that make Pikmin 2 better than its predecessor. I like the new Pikmin types and the quality-of-life improvements. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first game. The caves, while a nice change of pace at first, become incredibly tedious and repetitious as you progress. I also found no interest in collecting more treasures than was needed to complete the game.

I don't mind some additional challenge in a game like this, but I found Pikmin 2 to be a more stressful experience than a relaxing one.

Playing through the first Pikmin game after already completing the 3rd and 4th game in the series made me realize how far this series has come, but the original Pikmin still holds up. I had some gripes about how the Pikmin move and get stuck in certain areas, but I was eventually able to work around it. I also didn't mind the 30 day in-game time limit to complete the story and was able to do so with plenty of days to spare.

Journey is a unique and weird game, but I enjoyed it. The visuals, music, and small tidbits of storytelling are really well done. Playing alongside another player at random intervals as you scale the mountaintop was a nice touch as well.

Wingspan is a very solid adaptation of the physical game. I especially enjoy the animations, bird trivia, relaxing music, and cross-platform play with friends.

Pizza Tower has a pleasing art style and soundtrack that's straight out of cartoons I watched as a kid. Sadly, this game isn't for me as I don't like its blistering fast pace and how it controls.

I unfortunately didn't enjoy Super Mario RPG as much as I thought I would. It's still a good game with awesome characters and humor, but I thought the turn-based battles became very repetitive over time and some of the platforming sections controlled poorly.

Cocoon is an interesting game. It never explicitly tells you how to play it or about its story. Both of those things are simply learned by playing through the game. While it is short, I liked the creativity on display and its puzzles.

Being my first experience in the Armored Core series, I enjoyed what I played from Fires of Rubicon. While I didn't care much for the story and the missions are a bit repetitive, where this game really shines is with its incredibly fluid, fast-paced gameplay, and the wealth of customization options for your AC.

Alan Wake II is easily one of the best-looking and most suspenseful games I've ever played. Every chapter of the story kept me guessing what would happen next. Even after beating the game, I want to immediately dive back in again.

Remedy is a studio that knows exactly what it wants to do and is in complete control of their craft. I hope they continue to keep these amazingly creative masterpieces coming!

Wonder does exactly what 2D Mario games have been lacking for years, overhauling the art style and level design into something that has considerably more personality and passion from its developers.

I didn't think it was possible for a modern 2D Mario game to ever come close to Super Mario World's greatness, but they've done it! I experienced and thoroughly enjoyed everything this game had to offer, and I can now safely say that it ranks among my all-time favorite Mario games.

I loved absolutely everything about Pikmin 4. It is so charming, cute, and above all, relaxing! Oatchi was a brilliant addition and I enjoyed the new gameplay mechanics revolving around improving one's Dandori.

The level design and setting were a nice change compared to the older games in the series. Plus, having the option to do night expeditions for the first time was a unique and fun challenge!

Cyberpunk is still a little rough around the edges. The gameplay really didn't surprise me and the combat was too easy at times. Plus the final boss battle lasted all of 2 minutes on the normal difficulty.

The main thing Cyberpunk has going for it is the story. I wasn't initially on board with it, but as I kept playing, I continued to get more and more interested in what was happening to the player character. I thought the story and characters were very well done and I even got a bit emotional for the ending I chose.

It's a shame that everything surrounding the story is just okay. I enjoyed what was there but expected more out of it.

The second episode of Coffee Talk is as good as the first entry, with a couple new gameplay ideas, great storytelling, and amazingly chill tunes.

New Vegas definitely has the best story in the modern Fallout entries, coupled with some really fun side quests and mini-games.

Many aspects of the engine running behind the game have unfortunately aged like milk. Your character moves through Nevada's finest molasses, without being able to fast travel in many locations. My companion would constantly get stuck in random walls and rocks. Without the use of VATS, the gunplay perfectly encapsulates what it was like being a stormtrooper in the original Star Wars trilogy.

I nearly gave up a couple of times due to how frustrating the game plays, but what kept me going was the excellent worldbuilding, characters, and music.
