Really fun for what it is. Well made indie starfox/rogue-like that you can sink some hours into.
Feels like dev's attention might not be on enhancing the game, which would be disappointing.

Some systems could use some additional love/depth.

Really good bones for a game that I think suffers from lack of a "free play" mode or similar. You're rushed on a clock in every section of the game, which doesn't allow you to do nearly as much with some of the systems as you'd like!

An absolutely great game.
Tons of easter eggs, some fun/interesting side quests, plenty of activities to keep you busy in the world of DBZ... and best of all a pretty darn good retelling of the anime. Is it exact? No, but for a fan this was a better reliving of the show than just rewatching through.

Combat has it moments, though can certainly feel repetitive at times. They did a great job of making the epic battles feel EPIC and captured a ton of really big moments.

2016

Super charming indie puzzle/platformer.

Don't let the bland intro put you off, the puzzles in this game are unique and engaging. Fun, quick playthrough.

Enjoyed the voice acting and narrative.

Remarkable game - THIS is Star Wars.

Really loved the storytelling, game was beautiful. Combat was engaging and it balanced a good difficulty curve while also feeling yourself get stronger throughout the game.

Biggest criticism is the same for most games.. going back and trying to 100% is super annoying with all the backtracking and lack of fast travel.

A game that'd pretty fun the first couple plays through. Really show its warts as you try to climb through the levels though. Very very RNG heavy to the point it feels helpless and unfun at times.

Good to sink some time in, but there are better games in the same vein.

Game that gets more and more enjoyable as you go. Beautifully made, solid story, and a ton of exploring/bonus content to take on beyond the main story late in the game including some challenging boss fights!

What holds this back from being a 5 is the early part of the game. The first ~6 hours is a slog and feels like a tunnel sim without a ton of variety and the story hook isnt really in you yet.

The game absolutely does get better and better as it opens up and you get some weapon/playstyle variety.

Super fun take.

Lots of diversity of gameplay on runs with the different pairings and some both fun and super punishing interactions.

All the fun and whim of South Park in a fun RPG shell. Great story, jokes, and references throughout.

What holds it back for me is that the combat system, while decently fleshed out, just comes up short leading to it being generally predictable and monotonous over the course of the game.

Super cute little lego puzzle game. Not the most challenging, but very nice visually and just good vibes in general.

Super relaxing. Great to throw on to unwind or while doing other things. Games can stretch and take a long while to complete is probably the only real downside.

Wonderful game that doesn't get old.

Updated October 2023: Picked this game back up, and my criticisms from below are largely being addressed through patches. A lot of depth is being added by the way of "skill trees" for each survivor, and its been great.

Really good basis for a game in it's current state.

Dash mechanic keeps the combat/survival interactive and hands on. Decent bit of build/playstyle variety.

Feels a bit incomplete, and the number of different resources is a bit bloated and over the top.

Feels like this will be a great game as they add more and refine it further.

Just an absolutely beautiful game. Can be as much or as little button-mashy as you want it to be. Fun characters, great art, entertaining story and combat. Just a blast from start to finish.

Had a surprisingly enjoyable time with this game. Played it on steam deck and 100% it. Great experience, great tunes, and an eccentric art style to it.

Game is definitely on the shorter end. Some decent puzzles, though nothing too daunting. Just a fun chill game. Didn't overstay its welcome, though definitely could've used a bit of -something- more. Maybe another level to it? Maybe less backtracking.

All in all worth the time!

Just an absolutely awesome game. Doesn't really paywall you. Progression is fun. Card art is great.

Most the paid stuff beyond the battle pass seems insane. Plenty fun even without paying for the battle pass.
