A really fun card game with a creepy atmosphere, the card game itself is amazing and well thought out being simple but also complex blood,bones and totems made for some incredible deck ideas (insects being my favourite to focus my deck around) dueling never felt boring and it was honestly a blast until the end.

MID-GAME SPOILERS

After winning all 3 zones and unlocking the New Game button it was weird at first with the game adding new more gimmicks and removing totems all together (not complaining they were really busted LOL) i didnt like that i lost all my progress but i guess it made since i clicked "NEW GAME" lmao. I personally wasn't all that interested in the new playstyles (i did try out the mage playstyle it was alright didnt really stick with me and i didnt find the robots all that exciting) so i mostly ended up going with bones and blood cards again and so i finished act 2 of the game

END GAME SPOILERS

After winning against all 4 bosses you get rewarded with another reset and a new card game this time being all about robots (which as i previously mentioned wasn't a huge fan of) while they did add some nice features like overcharging and adding alternate forms i starting getting tired of losing all my progress and having to do it all over again in another playstyle but i carried on and beat the game this phase of the game was easily me least favourite the ending were you duel all 4 scrybes was awesome (I even got my deck from act 1 and Leshy would just praise the cards i used when dueling against him i loved) the final duel was legit a Yu-Gi-Oh! duel with duel disks and everything it WAS SO COOL LMAO (im a huge yugioh nerd) and was also the only one not to get a farewell handshake which the asshole deserved lmao

So in the end Inscryption is a game i would DEFINETELY reccomend it is really amazing and well made that is if you dont mind losing your progress like 2 or 3 times or every time you die and a meh story at best.

A pretty good game overall the puzzles were well made and really made you think and the trials were as awesome as they were in your average Ace Attorney game introducing a new feature of cross-examining multiple witnesses at once it was really fun.

The issue for me comes from the fact im mostly an Ace Attorney fan and i wasn't a huge fan of how Phoenix was downgraded to basically comic relief while giving all the action to Layton and Espella's existence only bringing troubles to everyone othen than those issues i would say the game is definitely worth a shot if you love either of these franchises they got me interested in Professor Layton after all.

The only JRPG i never dropped for months before picking it up again not to mention the only one I've considered playing a 2nd time.

Combat i personally find really fun and never got tired of it i love pulling off combos with different characters and trying out different playstyles.

The whole cast is amazing i loved every single character all of them had their charm and there was never a dull moment with them making for some of the funniest interactions and keeping you hooked on their progress through the game.

The story is good and a really fun adventure with an amazing cast of characters and it of course has its own share of annoying stuff (Gattsuo oh god) but everything else more than makes it up for me making it probably my favourite game of all time.
