This game was almost universally in every 360/ps3 owners collection growing up, it was a must have. And for good reason, it’s a bigger and badder Arkham asylum with refined combat and stealth mechanics. It also brings me back to a much simpler time.

Perfect length and didn’t stay it’s welcome.

That ending was waaaaack yo. Did Peter dirty.

Honestly the side quests were pretty cool, it felt like old Bethesda again. And this game does take a shit on the last two Bethesda games. But still, it’s not very good, if you’re idea of fun is to hit a loading screen every two seconds then be my guest. Go play Mass Effect it’s way better.
The performance was pretty decent on Xbox it’s a shame you are locked in 4k though because I would have liked a higher frame rate. The graphics are pretty good imo. And maybe if I was in high school/middle school and not a jaded old ass, I would have liked it.

I think we got ourselves a masterpiece folks. This might just to me, set the bar for story telling in video games. I felt like I was experiencing a creation made by Stephen King and David Lynch in another timeline where they somehow collaborated. 10/10 also have broke the mould into my top 3 of all time.

That last 2 hours alone was worth full price. I purchased this back in 2018 and it was never able to catch me. With the sequel out I told myself to get all the way through this one before I dump money on a sequel. This time around I couldn’t put it down. As soon as I got home this game was being played. I want to do a new game plus but I think ‘Death Stranding’ is next on my mark. Highly recommend this lads.

I waited 3 years to play this game for obvious reasons. When patch 2.0 came I bought it with phantom liberty. I can honestly say this was truly one of the more immersive games I’ve played, the world just feels alive and believable, the characters are a chefs kiss (aside from the dlc) johnny silverhand made me want to have my first cigarette since I was 19 years old. The story and side quests I don’t remember a single bad quest. The guns are fun and have some weight and girth to them. The upgrade tree is about as good as you get in a game like this. I can’t really nit pick it because the execution is so on point. My only complaint is the radio isn’t that good aside from ‘pebkac’ and ‘impulse’ the rest are just forgettable lol.

Phantom Liberty about half way through had me rolling my eyes so hard that they started to hurt. Night City is vast and believable that it felt like it could have gone with or without V. Dogtown on the other hand is like 2 blocks… the story is shoehorned and I don’t care about any of the events or characters (except president Myers she is a bad bitch) so about half way through I was ready to move on from cyber punk and I give phantom liberty a 3/5. I wish I could write a more in depth review but the Covid head fog is getting the best of me.

It’s sad, only because what started out to be my first 5 star review of this site turned out to be a grating and frustrating experience in the 8 hour mark. Truly the beginning of the game exudes charm and creativity. Headache after headache are what I can describe the later levels (after the milkman level) just frustrating and characters appear almost out of nowhere with zero context as to why they are there. Not nearly enough development of the story to explain how all the kids lost their brains? Like at one moment they were fine, the next oh their brains are gone and it’s night time, I can’t believe there are some that find the Waterloo level even remotely fun. I may return to this again some day maybe when I get into the correct head space or something.

It reminds me of a time when the world wasn’t so fucking retarded. The story is great and the culture it was trying to parody really resonated. The cast and the main protagonist are up there with RDR2’s, and Niko might just have taken the spot where Arthur used to be. And the celebrity cameos were a treat.

Such a sad and drab game when all the glitz and glamor of crime and making money settle, what we’re left with is a shot of Liberty City, a place of grey industry, and overt consumerism that robbed Niko of a happy life after his saga. I got this feeling of seeing the city for what it was and the American dream was no where to be found.

When I got to the end (revenge ending) it glitched after 3 attempts to remedy it I could not spend another 15 minutes doing the shooting section again so I just YouTube’d it.

I don’t think the controls are as bad as people say but they’re not great. I enjoyed the shit out of it but understand that people dislike because of the controls and the same old rockstar formula they’ve used since gta 3.

I think this game is really solid and I have a lot of attachment from it because it was a gift from my mom for getting good grades lol. Replaying was totally worth it

I have taken a long break from this site as my time has been stretched lately and the three games I’m juggling are expansive to say the least. The game has this design that makes it feel like we have still have good ole diablo, and the game feeling like it has its own identity and mechanics. I love the grind I love all of the diablo games and I wish I was some 35 year old dinosaur to experience the first two as a teen/young adult when they were in their prime.

Man, miles is a really dope Spider-Man too bad they degraded the formula that the first game had. I miss the MJ stealth sections and the young miles sections too. Felt like there wasn’t a whole lot to do outside of the story and I would most definitely take average filler content than what we got here just feels barren for content. And because I’m a dinosaur none of Miles villains are that interesting. If they brought in Peter Parker villains I would have liked it way more but Tinkerer and Prowler are trash. Any ways I’m along for the ride and will play the sequel very soon.

I was emotional and enthralled with the presentation of the game. Hell I was on board for the whole ride… until it asked me to deliver a goddamn pizza I had to stop and ask myself, am I having fun? The answer was a resounding no. A motherfucking pizza delivery in such a choice and unique virtual world. The profound meaning that the game tries to get you to interpret is… well it’s just not worth it when every. Single. Quest. Is the exact same, which had not bothered me yet until it asked me to deliver a stupid pizza, which made me realize that this game is just not that fun and if I’m looking for something that is boring yet profound I’ll go read War and Peace or some shit. Who in their right goddamn mind thought it was okay to put that in a game. Anyways I might return to it someday or even watch it on YouTube but for now I got better games to play maybe not as profound or visionary but most definitely more fun.

First COD I’ve sunk time into since black ops 1. This franchise deserves all the hate it gets, but this one is really decent and grinding for leaderboard rankings brings me way back. The campaign gets very contrived and tries to ‘shock’ you but ultimately turns out being ineffective and almost comical. If you’re a normie piece of shit like myself I would recommend.
