It improves on some things that were in Pikmin 1 like some of the Pikmin AI mostly and it looks better but despite it being an incredible sequel, I don't think it lives up to the original game. I do like the dungeon system even though it is a little flawed thanks to the random generated floors, falling boulders, and not enough variety. Thankfully it seems like Pikmin 4 is improving upon the system. I do like the new pikmin even though nothing stands a chance against purple pikmin. But overall its genuinely still a lot of fun and I love it a lot even though I'd rather return to Pikmin 1 and 3 any day of the week.

I decided to play and finish the Zelda games I haven't finished yet starting with this one.

Honestly probably tied with LA and ALBW if I'm being honest considering how fun this was to play.

Its short and simple and doesn't really waste your time. It is mainly just a multiplayer side game that's just fine in single player even though I think they should bring this back on Switch. The sequel is the only mainline Zelda I haven't even touched yet so that should be interesting.

Bro thinks he's Nero from Devil May Cry 4 lol

Nothing really special but it is an big improvement over the first two GB games in every way.

I finally played Lucia's campaign.

It starts out as a watered down version of Dante's campaign until we get to the two underwater missions which are actually infuriating and the fish boss might actually be the worst boss in the entire game and the series as a whole thanks to the swimming controls, at least the underwater sections in DMC1 only lasted for a couple seconds. And then it goes back to the watered down Dante campaign after that. I haven't played Dino Crisis 3 yet (the third game of the epic Capcom 2003 trilogy) but this is somehow worse then Mega Man X7 and only a tad worse then X6. I'm just thankful I never have experience this piece of shit ever again.

At least its playable unlike Sonic Free Riders.

Not my favorite 2D Zelda game since I like the sequels Link's Awakening and A Link Between Worlds more but it is a timeless game that redefined 2D Zelda right after the NES.

And yes I only decided to fully play and beat it since Tears of the Kingdom comes out tomorrow.

Straight up the most consistent and fun as hell game in the entire franchise in my opinion, can't wait to finally get to Zero 4 after all these years.

This and X7 made me appreciate the classic and Zero series more because at least those are consistently good.

The fact that I actually hate this more then X7 actually shocks me if I'm being honest but this is probably one of the worst designed and unfair games I have ever played like holy shit. We got one stage which is literally a straight line with enemies, nightmare viruses, a stage that is literally just 50 donut battles in a row, and some of the worst bosses in the X series, or even the entire series in general, what were they thinking. The soundtrack slaps but I can say the same thing about Sticker Star if I'm being honest though, but holy shit I'd rather play the first two classic MM Game Boy games again then return to this shit. I will at least say this though, unlike X7, X6 at least retains the gameplay style from the previous 5 games but that doesn't matter since the level design is fucking atrocious. I also got to the last gate stage with Shadow X but I rage quit at a certain part and since I didn't have much of the game left I'm marking it as completed, I did it with X7 and I'll do it again.

I've heard good things about X8 so please let them be true I don't think I could handle another MMX game as bad as this.

I couldn't stand X6 for any longer (I will finish it this week though) so I decided to play though the zero games again, this one is a good start to the series but does have several flaws like if you get a game over on a level, you can't retry it which is why I recommend playing it on the legacy collection and the cyber elves take an eternity to upgrade leaving you with the default health bar but its still a lot of fun though.

Thankfully Zero 2 and 3 are better in every single way imaginable.

Mega Man X1 and 4 are some of my favorite 2D platformers and while X2 (surprisingly) and 3 were a bit underwhelming they were still fun.

But this... its just fine. The story is decent especially since this was supposed to be the finale of the X series but the level design is just fine with some boring ones as well, I like how you can use the fourth armor and the enhancement chips like the ultimate buster is cool but that's about it. The cutscenes are a downgrade since because they aren't animated we don't get the funny voice acting from MM8 and X4. Honestly the X series kind of deserves a better send off then this so if they make X9 they can send off the series with something that is truly special.

Overall, this definitely is one of the Mega Man games all time.

I got 3 levels in and the difficulty in this is straight up bullshit which makes it a boring a miserable experience, it controls like shit too, even for NES standards.

Due yourself a favor a play Castlevania instead.

Why did James go to Silent Hill even though he knew his wife was dead, is he stupid?

I played on hardcore on New Game Plus and its much fun I'm thinking of playing on Professional difficulty.

Though I do really want to get to Silent Hill so I might fully commit to a third playthrough another time.
