This is the area that sonic almost NEVER gets wrong. The best soundtracks are songs that not only fit the vibe and aim of the game but are also songs that, if showed to someone with no sonic knowledge, could still be thoroughly enjoyed. The worst are just passable because the soundtracks of these games never really lean into BAD territory...well except the last one.
