Continuous freezing bugs and poor combat system end up ruining very good ideas, like a superb, gameplay bounded, implementation of the thirst for blood. A few months of extra polishing work and Vampyr could have been a remarkable game.

The control works fine when facing enemies in open areas, but camera and targeting are an issue in missions that go beyond killing enemies, missions added to have more variety than its precessor but that does not work as well as the regular ones. The plot and script are awful, and the horrible english dub does not help at all; Konami should have added the original japanese audio. Despite this, the game has aged very well and is still a frenetic and enjoyable arcade

Less focused than the prequel, it tries to be a more dinamic platformer with wall and double jumps which does not suit well with the seemingly clumsy protagonists, resulting in sections that remind of some sort of decaffe Rayman Origins. The puzzle sections work much better and should be the main element of the gameplay.

The game starts telling this is the creator's personal experience fighting a mental illness but all you find is one cliché after another. The gameplay is repetitive and boring and the only thing remarkable are the graphics. Another Journey wannabe that is far from its model.

The game is fine; a few steps below new'n tasty and the old PSX Oddyssey and Exoddus, but buggy as hell. I am stuck because mudokon in "angry mode" do nothing and I can't go further without their assistance in the "protect the large climbing mudokon group" section

The last areas of the game, with ridiculous robo-zombies and similar stuff, blur the excellent atmosphere, based on center-european myths, of the first hours. This lack of consistency applies too to both the gameplay (with some too much enemy sections that not work very well with the survival horror-esque control) and graphics, with areas like Moreau's dam that are far below Beneviento's manor or Dimitrescu's castle.

Despite that, a very good and entertaining game that works better when it forgets its name and tries to be more a tribute to classic horror films than the last installment of a saga based on bio weapon experiments.

A good game, but always having in mind the limitations derived from its arcaic genre and roots. Some control changes would be appreciated in order to avoid some miss-inputs, like using R1 to do the defensive special instead of forcing to not press d-pad direction while triangle.

The game is not that bad but makes a big effort to make you feel playing a crappy movile game: in-game coins, skins, a very crowed and not very clear hub... I feel like it is kicking me out constantly, yelling "We don't want people older than 20 in here" at me

Ok, very replayable, but only 6 levels, one of them working as a tutorial, are not enough. Last two levels are sold as DLC...

The difficulty curve is crazy. After finishing chapter 1 with no problem my main character is 3 levels below the recommended to go on to chapter 2, having some characters 11 or 12 levels below. Sidequests do not give you experience, so you are forced to grind. Not wasting my time in killing random enemies to level up, thank you

Good ideas poorly executed. Combat system is trash and the continuous respawn of enemies does not help at all. I haven't experienced worse boss battles since Mrs. Commstock from Bioshock infinite.
The game should be more focused in what works: finding treasures.

Played on coop. Couldn't finish due to a bug in Nexus main mission
