Combat feels very unsatisfying and clunky. Looks a bit too muddy so hard to make stuff out. Platforming was decent from what I played.

addictive gameplay, some questionable design decision regarding progression and secrets. Laughable voice acting, as was usual back then.

Didn't think it was funny and tried too hard to be. Puzzles are a mixed bag, difficulty very inconsistent, no real curve but rather a zig zag. Way too much filler content where you're just walking around and looking for the next "portalable" wall.

Considering it's a free mod it's got very good production value and some of the puzzles were indeed excellent. Were it a standalone, regular priced game I would not necessarily recommend it, but it was decent overall.

Very fun PSVR roguelike, addicting gameplay loop, refined bow shooting gameplay

One of the nicest VR experiences there are. Fun platformer with lots of variety and never frustrating gameplay.

Hotline Miami as a Cyberpunk Ninja. What more do you need? Excellent.

They really found a genuinely new idea for a game, although it shares similarities to the even more interesting "The Invisible Hours". You basically play as the fly on the wall, listening in to simultaneously happening conversations, trying to figure out what happened, who did what, etc.
The cases are rather interesting, but there's only five of them (plus a free DLC with one large case and a little addendum for said case). It's a rather short experience, but I had a lot of fun with it.
The voice acting can be hit or miss, with some hilariiously bad lines mixed with some which are fine.
The biggest negative for me was that the game didn't really find a good way to prevent brute forcing the solutions. "Return of the Obra Dinn" had a brilliant solution to that problem, but it would not really be applicable to this game. Still, the way the game is right now, it can lead to you trying out a little bit too much, spoiling your own fun of discovery.

A solid game overall, though.

Repetitive gameplay, doubly so due to the three necessary playthroughs which are not different enough to warrant them. Bland looking environments (an apocalyptic setting doesn't have to look this uninteresting) and overall not as great as people make it out to be.

Controls were pretty awkward for the first 30 minutes, didn't like it a lot. Still not a fan of the spherical levels, though it's nice they tried something new.

Very good action-adventure/RPG experience with a rewarding gameplay loop and interesting bosses. Cartoonish characters hold back the story, while the exploration aspect keeps you hooked.

It's not really a horror game and it has some problems with tone, going from weirdly humorous to creepy in a jiffy, but the antagonist's phone calls are really, really leeching the creep out of the atmosphere, adding some levity.
The game itself is an interesting mix of first person exploring, puzzling, shooting and jumping, though the levels are a bit long and inconsistent in my opinion.
Setting and story held my interest right up until the end, propping up the rather average gameplay loop to make it a decent overall experience.

Interesting setting with lovecraftian undertones ruined by awful pacing and some extremely obscure puzzle design. Made me feel like an idiot more than once and somehow lacked satisfaction when you solve a puzzle. It's hard to know whether you're even working on the right puzzle sometimes only to find out after a while - and consulting a guide because you did not make any progress - that you can't do anything here and have to do another puzzle first that is somewhere else hard to find

2019

Very predictable and boring story. Voice acting doesn't fit the characters, as they sound way too old than they should. The game's art style is pretty neat, but it's a bit hard to see anything as you're constantly in the dark, because enemies are drawn to your flashlight. Gameplay is very repetitive. Bit of a slog.

Brilliant idea and lots of fun to be had. Some hilarious video material, very campy. The non-directorial segments (the text adventure thing) was a bit of a weird and unnecessary choice. The setting is interesting, the whole politics thing a bit on the nose, but interesting nonetheless. Had a lot of fun and is a decent length without overstaying its welcome

Brilliant immersive-sim-like RPG with oh so many possibilities, interesting quests and well written characters
