Delightful. Makes the “bullet hell” combat even more fun. The writing is hilarious. Every time you think “I wonder if interacting with that does anything” the game rewards you. I’m going for the bed inspector, moss eating ending.
I would like to briefly compare a few video games to different kinds of meals.
An RPG packed with variety, like a Persona or Yakuza game, is a Thanksgiving day dinner. Multiple courses, appetizers, and deserts all in one event.
Katamari Damacy is a home cooked meal. Good, but you also won't find anything that tastes exactly the same way anywhere else.
Celeste is a strawberry pie. Mainly because there's one in the game, but it also just sounds right y'know?
Just about every Pokemon game is a cheese pizza because it's dependable. You always know what you're getting, but that's ok because it's the best dang thing you've ever tasted.
If all these games can be described this way, then Tetris can only be likened to consuming the raw meat of a freshly killed animal.
Which makes Tetris 99 a competition between 99 big game hunters in the same forest to kill that same animal.

I love the graphics, they remind me of a DS game.
I really liked finishing the game in one sitting, but I collected too many feathers at the base of the mountain and basically shot up to the peak when I decided to pursue the objective.
Flying and gliding around is so fun that I’ll probably just boot the game up to unwind now and then.
