Dragon Quest II has the most soul of any game I've ever played.

Daughter watched me play it the whole way through. Forgot how difficult it is though.

Guys will play this and just think "Hell yeah".

Emulated. Fun. First Castlevania game I've beaten. Ended up cheesing the last boss because I just wanted it to end.

Off the wall. Weird side characters.
And mini games that sharply contrast with the urgency the main storyline provides.

Found this in a /v/ top games by year for 1990. Really enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Ended up mastering the RetroAchievements for it.

What a damn fine game. When my family was going on a trip to Texas, my mom bought this game for me to play in the car. I was so excited for it that I swapped the cartridge in the box with Wario Land 4. Somehow my mom found out and I got in trouble.

Replayed in 2022 after buying a Retroid Pocket and fell in love all over again.

Distilled fun. Genius game design that is simple, fun and addicting.
My young children adore listening to the soundtrack, and enjoyed watching me play it as well.

One of the most satisfying collectathons in my opinion. First introduced to it when my stepdad basically gave me his PS2. Not difficult to, but very worth 100 percenting.

This also was one I played around 10 years ago during high school, my parents were out of town and I remember finishing the game while taking a bath in their massive tub.

Played one time nearly ten years ago, but still consider it one of my favorites.

While I started and dropped this game many times, I finally played it all the way through shortly after my wife and I moved into the city. Feel like I might have rushed a bit through it, but truly enjoyed my full playthrough. Memory of playing through the final dungeon and final boss while my newly pregnant wife slept beside me.

Love this game. I remember playing it shortly after I got married on the Vita and not being able to put it down until I beat it. Impeccable game design.

Loved this game way more than I thought I would. Might have been a bit spoiled by the fast forward on my emulator though. Some of the grinding was brutal even on that.
